Its out now, I played the demo and it had some interesting changes over the previous serious... The resources got reworked...
You used to be able to build thigns even if ytou didn;t have enough resources at the time you started to build it... Now you have to have more, Also there are tech trees, to specialize air, ground, navel, or acu and such...
It seems ok... but i am nto sure if i like it or not to be honest what does everyone think...

Its the biggest bucket of fail to hit the market since DoW 2.
They keep dumming down games. I mean, seriously, I feel bad for people with down syndrome too. But we shouldn't market games towards them and forget about the rest of us...
Time for Forged Alliance to get reinstalled...

I personally feel it's a huge improvement from SupCom 1 and Forged Alliance. Now units have value instead of pissing them away. Micro and macro are now involved. You actually have to time things and be aware now. You can't save your ass on a dime when you're playing like an idiot for the last 20 minutes of the game.

What kind of cockamamie logic is that? Are you trying to say you enjoy the noob feel of SupCom 1 and Forged Alliance so you can still feel like you fit in somewhere?
I'm confused. What are you actually comparing? Because I didn't say anything about it being better. I stated my opinion. If your opinion is that SupCom 2 is worth than SupCom 1, that is a statement by you, for you. Not anyone else.
Besides, my post was not for your benefit, it was for the original poster as he asked how people feel about it.

My logic is always win. Thats just how I roll. And most ppl are pissed at sup com 2. They got rid of everything good. Supcom and FA had tons of strat, a well thought out eco, lots of units, tiers, shields, artillery and experimentals.
Supcom 2 is basically star craft, or command and conquer. Its lost its grand strategy feel. They just sold out to increase sales. If you think ppl like it, just go to the enix forums. I've never seen so much angery/hate/rage in one place.

Having played Supcom/FA for a long period of time(and quite well i might add) that game had no grand strategy Build orders were symmetrical and faction diversity was a joke. SUpCom 2 is an improvement over the original. It's just a shame TA was disgraced by Supreme Commander.

We can go around all day. I rts all days long. I loved supcom and its depth. The ranked games yes were mostly build order/map dependent. FA changed that for the better when they got rid of the engery/mass farms. Supcom 2 is a downgrade, like going from DoW Winter assuult (the peak) to DoW2.
If you like it then you like it. Most people don't. I want bigger, most complex and time consuming. But the average person doesn't want to spend the time getting to know/play a game.
EIR is a prime example. Very very few casual players. Most of the people who play, play a lot. You either do or don't.

Comes closest to how I see it.
SupCom is mere Techrush and then Resrush. The T1-2-3 Differences are just too big.
Can´t tell about FA.
SupCom 2, well, ouch. HP Regeneration, Veterancy, Research with Techtrees, very few units.
I do not realy like SupCom 2.
Well, TA was just spam of certain units in the end but I think it still tops the others.

FA was a great multuplayer addon for original SC, FA make from big clumsy game real multuplayer platform, real global strategy. Its stratigical aspects as perfect as tactical aspects in CoH.
SC2 sucks because:
1. poor choice of tactics, no tech levels (buildings, units etc.)
2. rudimentary economic system (back to C&C, cool!)
3. remooved a lot of minor details such as jets fuel, airfield, power supply for power shields, walls. now u cant build a real fortifications, just upgrade factories.
Now its a average RTS, original concept of SC is dead.
Xbox kill that game, all games, designed for both Xbox and PC are too casual

by the way, when they announce same cool stuff for SC2 i was certain, that SC2 wiil be great. Same thing they took from great mods for FA, such as upgrading unit (second burrel, shileds etc) and ACU (BlackOps mod make from ACU real beast, who can win even experimental units). But they fail. epic fail.
