Sapper Piat = 180mp 120 mu
Cmdo Piat = 180mp 100 mu

they get smoke, 2 of them get the commando smg and they can air drop in

what do the sappers get...er they're sappers.

to account for their effectiveness, they should be raised in price to I say at least 200-250 mp to account for their ability to fight infantry with the Stens the smoke so they can get away (better than fire up) and i think they get demos, its in the unit list.

I agree, i think they are too efficient for their cost, sure Piats have short comings, but so does everyother piece of AT and none is as effective as these for anywhere near the same cost. A lot of the time it comes down to the platform the AT is on, in this example the platform is great and so is the weapon.

they are very effective because of their pop. with only 12 pop you can field a huge amount of AT (4 mando piats) which also snipe infantry (which some players sadly abuse to great extend)

yes piats sniping infantry from behind a hege is very annoying ,  maybe a modifier that lowers chance to hit infantry would be in order , no other manpacked at can dmg inf so much

I have noticed this, seems more common than other AT, probably because the random nature of Piats works in their favor vs infantry, they actually have a higher chance to hit infantry due to their scatter.

but they're still spammed a lot. a lot of company's that have them will be mostly cmdo piats, you dont find this to be a problem?

Okay really, people are complaining about an expensive 3-man doctrine unit now?  Seriously?  Let's look at it this way:

1. Requires a T2 Doctrine Unlock to even be able to purchase them. This is on par with a CALLIOPE unlock for armor (2/8 Doctrine points)
2. This squad is more expensive pool wise (at 3) than sappers (2)
3. This squad has fewer men that Sappers (3-man as opposed to a 4-man squad)
4. Piats are bad at hitting anything moving, unless it is nearly point blank range.
5. Pop-wise, they cost 1 less than sappers (3 as opposed to 4) since they are a 3-man unit instead of 4.

What's so hard about these guys?  So if a CW Player has a bunch on the field, bring out infantry to fight them, stop relying on the crutch of throwing armor at these guys if that's what people are doing.  You don't hear anyone complaining about 6-man ranger squads or airborne, and they take nasty losses when fighting tanks like Tigers and such or arty or anti-infantry counters.  A british player is trying to bring more AT at the expense of survivability (less guys) and really can't use them against infantry (fewer AI guys to cover the AT guys).

Well if its the weapon itself, maybe that can be an issue, but the thread is called 'Cmdo Piats Too Cheap' and does not seem to be implying its the weapon but the actual doctrine infantry, which is doubly more expensive to get than rangers/airborne/storms.

PIATs really frustrate me.  They hurt so much stuff in my PE company - even my infantry gets shat on by them half the time. There is no hiding from PIATS!
