Recently one of my snipers was de-cloaked by walking past an enemy tank trap. Has this still gone unnoticed, or is it in the works?

If there's any debate, I would definitely posit that a lump of concrete or steel cannot report the location of hidden troops, and also that it is a problem for all factions, so it is not a "balance" issue.

Dead guys shouldnt detect either

They're still alive.

That's why medics can pick them up and save them.

If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times. Cloak is a totally OP bullshit ability. The only unit that should be able to cloak is a sniper. One guy in heavy camouflage is possible, the rest is just fantasy bullshit.

Its fantasy bullshit that infantry can cross a road unseen in clear daylight, but its certainly not fantasy that Infantry ambushed each other under WW2. However you decide to look upon the cloak mechanic, keep in mind what its supposed to represent.

The realism part there is called ambush camo in EiRR, you have to get behind something to be unseen.

Personally I don't like moving cloaked units at all, I think cloak should only be possible while standing still, though snipers and stormtroopers could still be able to cloak in fields (represents laying down)

too bad it isn't codable that you can't cloak in negative cover.

Would also like to see implemented cloak inside of buildings. I've seen some mods do it, the only drawback is you can still see on the minimap and by outline that something is in it but you don't know what until you reveal it. it could be a single engineer squad or an hmg, you just dont know. I'd love to see that in EIR, it'd totally change the dynamic and make scouting more important.

Snipers, i dont mind since snipers were supposed to be stealthy and they could move around relatively unseen because of their camo. `
