Doesn't it seem unreasonable to have to spend that much in extra munitions on an already expensive platform to beat basic infantry made godlike by a T4 that has no extra cost associated with it?

And nobody has answered my question.

the assault nades got switched from stun to kill, plus dealing out insane amounts of suppression so there was no dodging, if even one hit, you're whole squad died....

Since I'm so out of the loop... were assault grenades removed via a patch? Or are they broken and not working? If the former... why? Were they considered OP? When exactly did this happen?

During last patch sometime, Assault nades were reverted to pre-ToV assault nades only their suppression was through the roof.

This means that the nades no longer "stuned" you and were non leathal, but were capable of killing the target.

The problem was that due to the rly high suppression, if one nade hit, the squad was insta pinned, then the rest of the 7000 volks nades would land directly on the squad decimating it to near uselessness.

My standard bazookas on my 2 Rangersquads were more usefull this game, killing 2 88's, than my vet 3 rifles tbh, only later on when the axis inf spam around the Traige needed to be countered they got some kills.

A well managed Storm tactics company will kill Carbine rifles handily.

The fact stills remains your getting an improvement seen only on munitions cost upgrades without paying the munitions cost. If it were secluded to a small sect of units I'd have no issues with it but carbines does all your rifles and vanilla rangers. Unlike HEAT rounds which at most affects 8 StuG's 5 P4's or 2 Tigers. (Armour company has AP rounds as the opposite of HEAT pretty much)
BUUUT, a well-managed Carbine company will kill a well-managed Storm tactics company handily.

Testing has showed that ST pgs beat up carabine rifles when rifles charge. There were some pretty even results.

Quote from: test conclusions
Ok tested it with smokaz.

Riflemen with carbines vs PGs with ST is basically vanilla rifles vs vanilla volks.   PGs win at range, PGs win(barely) if the rifles charge them with no cover, PGs win convincingly if they are sitting in cover when the rifles charge.   The more PGs/rifles there are, the better off the PGs are because they can focus fire down a squad before the rifles enter short range.

Considering that ST also buffs other units, and soon we will add a G43 buff, the two are basically very balanced vs each other.

BUT, as it also was said in that thread, smart americans mix in weapons like flamers, thompsons or grenades which PE cant match. Within the confines of ST vs Carabines no upgrades ST's do very well.

However, mp44s with ST are extremely accurate at short range and charging.

Only doubles at short range. Bars in open with carbine/rifle training would beat the attacking PE squad.

as PE you don;t need to get anywhere near the rifle squad BARs or not. if you have any infantry equipped with G43's you can sit back and pick off guys easily. he is then forced to: Disengage, Assault, indirect fire. It's all win/win

Explain? Bars have more long range damage than G43s.

It only does if you don't consider target tables.
The BAR has a -25% Accuracy and -60% Damage penalty vs Soldier Armor. G43s have no penalties vs Infantry Armor.
