2 LMGs upgrade for a gren squad should cost at most 125mu

there is absolutely no point paying 150 for 2 LMGs on one gren squad when you can get 2 LMGs, 1 on each of 2 gren squads, for the same exact price.

just stupid, no thought required really

It doesn't "drop faster", it increase the chance of you dropping an LMG when the guy dies. Which corresponds with the amount of LMGs you have.

I do have to agree there needs to be an incentive to put 'all your eggs in one basket' and a discount for that, even if it is slight.  Putting 2 LMGs in a 4-man squad really doesn't have a benefit other than a big 'shoot me first to push me off the field sooner'.  Yes, it's more power but if you are caring about vet, he isn't staying on the field too long or going to be focused on by a lot of stuff (just like double shrek grens).

Yeah double shreked grens is the ultimate example. You will get focus fired so fast you won't be able to do shit (unlike storms which have the element of surprise). IMHO putting all your eggs in one basket = suicide

its really benificial when you put them in your starting call in as you get to jam pack 25 pop with the most fire power possible. Other than that, yea it can be more of a disadvantage to double up on either shreks or lmg's.

If you have a single lmg on a squad then you lose it when all the men die.

If you have dual lmgs on a squad then you lose one when three men die, and then the other when all of the men die.

I believe the point about the LMG dropping sooner refers to the fact that if you lose 3 guys, that 3rd guy has a chance to drop the LMG. Rather than under normal circumstances you would have to kill all 4 grens to even trigger a chance of the weapon dropping.

Furthermore the argument of having greater firepower in one place is perfectly valid, by being able to concentrate firepower you have a higher amount of damage for the same amount of POP as a single gren squad with 1 lmg. However you can also look at this from the other way, the ability to have your firepower spread through out your whole army, more equally improves the general combat effectiveness your entire fighting force. Furthermore you Must consider the combat effectiness increase of the unit in context with units it tends to engage, a gren squad with 1 LMG will already beat a rifle squad, having two lmgs is quite frankly overkill, an overallocation of resources in many instances. I used riflemen as the example as they are the most numerous and common opponents for grens.

Essentially there are negatives and positives to both, the doctrinal ability recognizes this by allowing you the option of buying a single or double lmg rather than the double lmg upgrade simply replacing the previous option. So really you could say it is down to player choice, like for example a player running pervitin pills would gain more from double lmg's, becuase the benefit of one use of pervitin would enhance two lmg's, rather than one. All in all though I believe the incentive for brining double lmg's on one squad is simply not enough, with the amount of abilitites that can instantly force a single unit off the field I believe the investment in double LMG's is too high for one unit. I think a discount towards the second LMG is a good Idea, 125 gives a saving of 25munitions, which sounds reasonable to me.

Double schrecks give a discount, there is no reason why LMGs shouldn't.

Unless it is believed that the double shrek discount should not in fact be occur when the 2nd shrek is paid for, but for the reasons I stated above, i would like to see the reasons for such a belief.

20munition decrease is a nice little bit, from that precedent I would posit a decrease of 20munition for double lmg's are reasonable, unless of course the discount is based on the % total of the two weapons on which case it would be 15munition decrease.

Then the text in the launcher is wrong. It states 240mu for the upgrade on the launcher.
