IST was supposed to be buffed ,,,, it hasn't been so far , and now a nerf thread?

oh the nerve

playing on both sides should be mandatory before a player can make a "nerf" thread.
Do you even know the abilities we are taking about? If not please read the threat in its entirity before commenting next time please!

IST is fucking rape. Especially that incendiary round. That thing one-shots full hp rifle squads (who are spread out!) without that fire shot but with normal shot. Was a WTF moment for me when i saw my full hp rifle squad gibbed.

id say brits dont have a problem with it (button) but its super dangerous for amis. if theres no tank on the field and you only rely on your at guns atm you pretty much fucked if an ist rolls in supported by some inf or assault flammen grens in HTs. this mostly happens in 2v2s. its not much of a problem in 3v3s or 4v4s.
its not the IST with SE buffs that is so powerful but the combination of unbits you use it in.

btw, i had a lv9 SE company before the reset and my ISTs raped shit (without that incendary round) and i played against it (with incendary round). even in uglysoris hands its powerful.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

look people, its simple.  If you are facing a PE player, add more AT guns and other vehicle disablers.  More AT guns is always the answer.  No PE player is gonna rush his IST into multiple AT guns, and if he does, be very grateful.

Also, its a unit with dual t3 buffs.  It is supposed to be powerful.  It is NOT uncounterable or horribly OP or cheap.  It may potentially be slightly low popcap wise WHEN paired with BOTH upgrades, but since no other unit gains pop when it gains buffs from doctrines, I don't see why the IST of all units would be the first, since it is hardly the most OP...

+1.

The IST has a shortish range. You should always try to utilize that. Plant mines if you're that worried. Scouting units + ATG's are usually enough to keep IST's away.

I don't think the IST needs a change, i used to think it did but then i l2p a bit and i reckon it's ok now.  If you're having trouble with it as brits the problem is probably scouting, get a recon squad in there with your atg so you can get shots in before the IST gets in range, very few players will rush once they take an ATG hit on a tank, even panthers immediately pull back after the first shot and they can take the hits better than an IST.  The Ostwind is actually more of a problem for brits than the IST imo, due to it's longer range.

Well, IST is the only non-arty vehicle in the game with a range vet, so that could be the issue.
