Hi there,

I just have discovered the EiR mod and am totally amazed by what you guys have accomplished. I already have created my account and set up my division (Allies for the moment), and just wanted to say "Hi"!

See you on the field, I guess Smiley

Don't be amazed, we are only mortals... Wink

But please, enjoy your stay and I hope you find the modification tons of fun.  Don't hesitate to post if you need help or have questions.  A new version will be coming out very shortly that includes all the stuff you see in those '1.8' sticky thread in the Testing forum...

Welcome!  We are always happy to have new members!

I recommend signing on to the teamspeak channel even if you don't have a microphone.  That is where we coordinate games and discuss strategy.  Just tell people you are new and someone should help you out.  Don't take it personally if some people whine about you being a noob at first, EiR takes a few games to get used to.

I am new as well and saw a Post on the CoH Forums. Looks like good fun and I have one question, is there a dlnd .doc or .pdf that one could get to have a better look at the various build/Platoon etc. screens. The Video's and Web items are fair but a .DOC or .PDF (with graphics) would be awesome. Smiley

I can run up a .DOC.  I have too much spare time. Cheesy

There are sticky forum threads that do this, but they are out of date somewhat.

Well, I will see if I can write up a .PDF on all the available options after v1.8 achieves its final release.

Anyway, welcome to the war. Enjoy your stay.

Littel Tip if you ´r a bit skilles and want to win: Go Allies...
When you check the leaderboard in CoH 99% of all players are better as Allyed (Well actually 100 % of the players i saw, but i say 99% just in case...)

Its even a bit more inba in this mod because of the res. cost´s, pop. and Squad size (Big Allie squad surrive more easyly and therefor are not so hard to keep alive / get to vet.)

And if you want to be totaly sure to win just go airborn.

Get the Über-Airborn and just drop them on evry unit you see, they kill evrything in close range and evry drift off is run back in less than 5 sec. Also Dont forgett to be cheap and tech for check Upgreads -Then upgrade with recoillesss Rifels and then rechoose your doctorime abilitys.

Tanks can easyly be taken out by your man with those über-rifels, evry inf will be rapped at close range and on evry place on the battelfield as well as at evry time.

And if you shoud ever get in troubel (Maybe a 2vYOU and both players use ostwinds only?) just cap territorys.

(Also get ready to enjoy more easy wins with the deployment of ÜBER-Airborne after 30 sec.)

I would have to disagree with that remark Thtb. As I have always said, This is a game not only of skill, but the tactics that you utilise right at the onset. You can play an easy game one day.... then using the same tactics the next day, get your arse handed to you. In EiR, it doesn't just come down to what units are being used, but also what you do with the units on the field and what map you are playing, and who is defending or attacking. I think that both Allies and Axis have thier strengths.

You can't compare the stats of vanilla, because its a totally different set of people / maturity level that play EiR. I have played a fair few games lately and have noticed that alot of the high ranking players set up rooms labelled 'NOOBS ONLY 1V1'. So there is a alot of people that only play new people so they get good wins. Anyway.... thats just my opinion

(Was kinda pissed off when i posted the last post because i got bombend with f*ing airborn like its "Raining Man")

Well wahts a good tactic vs Airborne with Recoilless Rifels and Stachel´s? Please?
(Also consider that i only have limited res.)

Something else: Panter Fules cost 900 ; Sherman cost 300 ? i dont think a panter can beat 3 (well 2 of you consider MP) Shermans.

And i dont think all CoH Players are guys how want to battel 1v1 as ally vs german.
Open Leaderboard Check best player: RAtio of Axis Games: 2 wins : 1 lose
Ratio of Ally Games   6 Wins : 1 lose
kinda same with all others.

Ps: At gun is overpriced in ammo.

Shermans cost 300 unupgunned but then they're absolutely worthless against other tanks.
They cost 420 I believe if you want upgunned ones.

Every player sane in his mind is spamming m10s though :/

Due to the bonuses to Allied armor, they are superior in their category to Axis, and cost less.
