Eh, I basically said that in a long winded way lol.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Indeed you did.

I just figured a Tl;dr version wouldn't hurt.

Hrm, fair point.

Though I suppose that is a point... When are emplacements going to become useful/removed/replaced?

I was running RE for a while, and the 17pdr is not as bad as people think. Setting it up can be a pain, but its not much more expensive than an ATG, and it stops any armor. Back it up with a bren of some type and its pretty nasty.

The problem is not emplacements, its the lack of attack/defend scenarios.

As for Precision Strike, I think its fine. It's no worse than any other offmap.

The 17 pounder is area denial.

Very short range, very fragile area denial.

The 88 is also area denial, but proper placement can cut off an entire half of a map's areas of access or more, and can be recrewed very easily.

Oh, and the 17 pounder requires time to pack up. Time in which you can easily destroy it, and when you NEED to pack it up, your usually under some form of sustained fire.

The point was not to hijack the thread but to point out precision strike is not a strafing run anymore then a 17 pounder is a 88.

Costing the same I believe doesn't really say they both do the same job. Trying to think of a good example, best I can think of atm is, Puma and Upgunned puma, the differnce is 5 fuel (which isn't much let's be honest here.), but the roles they play are compeltely, the 50mm can SOMETIMES do the downgunned job but not well...
So yeah, costing the same=/=same role

What you just said is totally irrelevant to what I meant. Precision strike is now effective at what it does and it comes down pretty effectively as in video. Just like strafing run. They both cost the same points dont they Tongue
