Compare AB with bars and nades to rifles with bars and nades. Suppression fire is the main reason why I use bar's. No doubt that AB rifles are good with bars, but fire up seems a bit useless with bar's imo.

Bars have a huge damage output dont ask me for the numbers, but ab rifles without bars are like a panther with a churchill  gun.

The thing about Airborne Rifles used to be that they got buffed by Raid Assault, but since that's gone Airborne Rifles aren't as useful anymore.

They still get Band of Brothers, I seem to recall. (I wasn't sure at first, since the doctrine overview in the forums uses "Airborne infantry" without stating whether this is just AB or AB + AB rifles, but the way it's written in the launcher makes it clear, iirc.)

I agree with the people saying you shouldn't underestimate the killing power of BARs without SF. Remember, it's not just fire-up that AB rifles get, they also get 15 more hp per man and airborne armour. Personally I run 1 normal rifle w/BAR and 6 AB rifles w/BAR atm (+ 6 vanilla rifles for recrewing and odd-jobs).

^ I take back what I said about ABR's being useless with BAR's, they're actually ridiculously resilient with all the buffs that they get through the Easy Co. tree. With the start that you currently use Rifle, i'd invest in getting the 15mu mines unlock so when you deploy you can set up a decent minefield.
