I was looking through the file when I realize that EIR removed the Command's Firefly bonus from the game. Firefly still benefit from the "normal" bonus of the command tank, but why was the Firefly bonus removed? (I'm assuming this is intentional rather than an accident).

The lengthen reload for the firefly is still there, but yet the command tank's firefly bonus was removed. It kind of gimped the brit player quite a bit.

*clueless*, I remember we modified the way it works so several CCTs bonuses don't stack.

it gets the normal bonuses just like any tank

the firefly bonus was a special addition added to it that i think either stacked on top of the normal cct bonus
which i think was 15% acc and the ff bonus was 12.5

or it replaced it so it wouldn't be so crazy, i dont kno whow ti worked but it gets the normal bonuses from the cct, theres no cripple, trust i use FF's very effectively with CCT

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

No idea why it was removed. One of the coders needs to check it.

Firefly never had an extra bonus.  It had a seperate bonus from the normal tanks that essentially amounted to the same thing IIRC.

Anyways I think it was removed when the stacking change happened.

Cmd tank never gave an acc bonus.

i believe the cct reload bonus and firefly reload bonus stacked after vet and it fired a bit to fast, they removed the bonus off of 1 of them iirc.

If my non-doctrinal ff can beat a doctrinal tiger or with some luck even a KT with a bit of micro-ing  i am not quite sure how Brits were gimped.

A vet 3 cct and a vet 3 firefly would fire almost every second or something silly, akranadas had a video of it at some point.  The extra firefly bonus did indeed stack with CCT bonus the other tanks had as the original aura did not discount fireflies in their targetting.

The firefly itself should have been altered to lower its own ROF from base with the loss but I don't remember that ever being done.  Firesparks has a valid point.

I have both a Vet 3 CCT and a Vet 3 FF and use them to great effect. At the max range your fire cycle is around 4 seconds it seems

vet 3 cct + vet 3 FF at max range is 4.03 second, the reload bonus on the vet 3 doesn't work (lol).

The long range reload is probably fine. vet 0 FF + vet 0 command at max range is 5 seconds and 6 second without the Cmd, but is the close range penalty penalty really necessary?

The short range penalty was originally put there by relic because the FF is so extreme at long range, but since EIR nerfed the command tank bonus the FF isn't as good at max range anymore.

On top of the short range penalty there's the fact that the FF have lower health than the average sherman and is generally more sluggish.(636 vs 550)
