Then my paintball has around 10-12 joules. That hurts way more than a airsoft especialy considering I never wear all that damn cloths, just 1 layer of clothing.

And a reasonable "safe level" was later ascertained to lie around the 3-4 joules mark. Above that could cause penetration of the skin.

There's already a sport with guns, it's called War. The rules aren't very well-standardized, though.

Paintball is a sport and the industry treats it as such. Which is why the guns look more akin to laser rifles instead of M16s; and if you know what your doing, you have sponsor logos printed on your gear instead of camoflauge and guillie. (not that it helps in anyway)

What aspect of paintball you may associate with going to the woods in BDUs and watching the grass grow is like comparing a back lot game of baseball to the major leagues.

War is an act of violence intended to compel our opponent to fulfill our will.

In paintball, "our will" is "to win the game". This is fulfilled by making the other team (our opponent) be 'dead', thereby resulting in very obvious compulsion for our victory. Sound familiar? If it doesn't, how about we substitute some terms. In War, "our will" is to "win the war". They have the exact same objectives with different rules. Frankly paintball is a much easier game to play at than war, and far less costly.

As I just said, paintball is to modern war what olympic fencing is to a swordfight. Beyond a superficial resemblance, they are nothing alike. Airsoft is the same way, really.

What I am implying, if you did not pick up on it, is that War is "the real sport with guns". You are trying to say how paintball is superior to airsoft because paintball, apparently, takes "real skills", yet as you say, airsoft is a lot more similar to real war than paintball is. Are you also suggesting that paintball is harder than really fighting people to the death? Paintball is further down the chain from "hard" than airsoft is. It is challenging, but it is not challenging on the same level. Paintball is challenging the way baseball is challenging, but baseball has nothing on a bar fight with an aluminum bat involved just like paintball has nothing on a fight with real guns involved. I did not think I would have to spell out my point like this.

Keep the air holes clear and breath through your nose. They usually stay clear that way.

Airsoft is awesome. We have some clubs in belgium with frequent events, I'll probably get into it sooner or later.

Checked it out via Youtube videos., So the correct answer, Airsoft and Paintball isn't the same thing. Must admit the guns look SUPER impressive, but with UK laws, I can see them being screwed over by the new law we've got that means BB guns need to have a bit of orange on it so the police don't need to kill people because they assumed they actually had a dangerous weapon in their hands.

Anyway, I rather play paintball since it looks alot more engaging and fun for me
Plus, its not like you CAN'T get replica paintball weapons, I've seen 2 with an XM8 and a M16 I believe with both sporting pistol sidearms :3
