Both sports are good depending on what you want to do.  Although I've tried paintballing, the only thing we have locally are speedball courts which I'm not a huge fan of...especially when summer rolls around and it's 100+ F (37+ C) outside.  So I usually stick to airsofting at night with a good group of guys (12-16).

yeah, u r right. for most players its just a game. but as a phisical and will training its an awesome (for big games of course). standard traversed distance for 24 hour game on 3-4 km ground is 15-20 km on a rugged terrain and sun, rain with insects. And u must still play. My friend wisit this - http://www.berget-events.com/. And they say that its a big different beetwin russian airsoft (we call it Strikeball btw lol) and europe airsoft. In Berget its much more camping elements with airsoft fun, in soviet russia its airsoft without camping at all -  24 game have 2 stages - day and night and most players play all 24 hours.

What I am implying, if you did not pick up on it, is that War is "the real sport with guns". You are trying to say how paintball is superior to airsoft because paintball, apparently, takes "real skills", yet as you say, airsoft is a lot more similar to real war than paintball is. Are you also suggesting that paintball is harder than really fighting people to the death? Paintball is further down the chain from "hard" than airsoft is. It is challenging, but it is not challenging on the same level. Paintball is challenging the way baseball is challenging, but baseball has nothing on a bar fight with an aluminum bat involved just like paintball has nothing on a fight with real guns involved. I did not think I would have to spell out my point like this.

This is stupid and ignorant. You think that just because airsoft simulates a war environment, that it is harder? Rolling around in the woods, shooting at a barely visible target?

I would say hitting a barely visible target is harder than hitting a very nearby target, yes.

Let me tell you something, in real competition paintball, the kind that you see on TV, your locked into an arena the size of a basketball court, 10 guys are firing their guns at 30+ balls per second, and nearly everyone is dead in 5 minutes.

Ok. In Airsoft you're allowed free roam of generally several dozen acres of land and you're shooting 30+ pellets a second out of your gun with between a dozen and hundreds of others and this lasts for hours on end instead of 5 minutes. I'm not seeing the point.

It is more like fighting to the death than you will get any place else.

I've been hit in the head with a waster before, that's pretty close to fighting to the death in that if I wasn't wearing a helmet I could've been dead and that is most distinctly not paintball. Or perhaps, you know, MMA would probably be more like fighting to the death, given they're actually physically beating on each other until the other guy gives up or can't move or something...

There's a youtube video floating around somewhere of me destroying the local SWAT team in a game of paintball. If you want me to, ill will find it and send you the link but tbh, your absolutely one of those people that would say "you have a mask on, idk that it's you or if this video is even involves local SWAT members, they just look like dudes in camo" and would just deny it up and down b/c you just like to argue.

Of course you beat a random local SWAT team at paintball. They train with real guns, not to play paintball. I'd lose to a sport fencer if I had to play a game of fencing, it's not what I train to do. Sun Tzu, Napoleon, Rommel and Zhukov would all lose to Jaedong at Starcraft - it's not terribly impressive to beat somebody doing something tangentially related to what you do when you impose an artificial ruleset on them that you are familiar with and they are not. SWAT is used to 30 round magazines, not large hoppers, and body armor, not one-hit-you're-out. You remove the elements they are familiar with and have them face you on your own home turf? I'd be surprised if you lost. And I'd still say being a member of a SWAT team is harder than being a member of a paintball team.

airsoft and paintball are completely different beasts, and they are both equally

Now paintball, Ive won money playing paintball. Cash money prizes, back when I was swinging and had no school expenses.

Skill is everything, and there's nothing like doing a run through, getting to their back corner and stabbing the last guy in the back with your barrel cause your that fucking good; then running back to your bewildered teammates to say "dont worry guys, i got this one, fuckin hang that rag."

This is you implying that, contrary to airsoft, paintball requires skill. Airsoft is bad, according to you, because it will never be more than a recreational hobby, while in paintball skill is everything. This clearly reads as a continuation of your contrast between paintball and airsoft.

Their both shit sports from my perspective. a Paintball gun will never be as accurate as I want it to be. An Airsoft gun will never be as accurate as I want it to be. Also any amount fo skill can be overcome by retarded rates of fire.(Which doesn't concern me much as I have retarded amounts of skill) It's just annoying to have to hit 12 year old kids in tender places to get them to shut up.

You should always, always wear at least goggles with a complete seal around the eyes and some form of mouth protection.  Believe me, I've had one of my front teeth shot clean in half because I only had goggles in a game.  Shit seriously sucked.

I just to know something, Do these guns represent the actual guns, like, if a pistol in real life can only hold 10 bullets, would these guns try and repesent that and only have 10 bb's? Or are these guns only really going for the badassness look of the guns and when it comes to ammo, the makers just try and ram as much ammo as they can into the gun without looking stupid.
And talking about looking awesome, is it possible to get 2 gun clips, put on upside down, tie a elastic band (or something that keeps the two togther) and then load them up, and when you have to reload, just flip the son of a bitch of a clip over and you're reloaded :3
