Please explain starting recommendations if possible. I have a company with plenty of anti-inf, anti-tank, indirect, scout, capping, etc. and I don't need a KT. I just bought one because I felt like it. I want to try a KT start because I don't mind losing mine early game and I was wondering if anyone had ideas as to how this might be possible. Please post opinions on how it could be done.

There are lots of possible ways to lose a KT early. For instance a Firefly works wonders on losing your KT early.

If you want suggestions on how to use one early... hmm don't lose it.

If you start with the KT then there's a 99.99% chance that you will get stickied and then rushed by m10s, sniped by fireflys, and rushed by AB. You have a very low hope of succeeding. With a regular tiger it's much more common and can't end as disastrously.

There's two ways to use a KT:

1) To eat up an absurd amount of stuff in the early-midgame (your opponents have plenty to throw at it, so why not?) Hopefully you kill more than the KT was worth when it goes down or has to run.

2) To finish off what's left in the late game when they're too low on anti-tank to effectively deal with it.

You sound like you're doing the former, so the most important thing to remember is that your KT needs to be paying for itself in units baited and destroyed or units attacked and destroyed.

Only if you fail at KT micro.  I've seen and used KT starts highly effectively.  But you have to prepare for it, your teammate has to be correctly setup, so it can't be some random guy.

KT itself is fail

All you need is 1 Sticky bomb and its gone. Engine damaged it becomes utterly useless

Works perfectly fine, but you require to start with a pak and an HMG to cover for both sticky bomb and M10 rushes.

KT is one of the best tank in the game assuming no doctrine passives.

No other tank except the jagd is as cost efficient as a KT until they start getting variouos T3s and T4s buffing them.

The cost efficiency of the KT may easily be questioned, in my opinion. It MAY pay off two-fold of what it's worth, but it takes much more effort to meet the costs of the KT than it does to meet the costs of, say, a Panzer IV or a Panther.

I won't argue it packs the most health and the most punch in a single entity(and perhaps the most in relation to the popcap) - but it still lacks the speed and agility to allow it to ensure cost efficiency in every single game.

pretty hard to when everyone has noob advantages rolling around or massive amounts of recon runs. It can work if you catch anyone starting with a basic mix call in. but once they get Pop they will send the army of suicide m10s to rush it since m10s are currently so broken and OP when it comes to being islamo fascist suicide bombers..albeit more effective lol.

KT start can be great but your partner setup is sooo important...
but of course well supported KT always does a great job but my opinion it should use after some AT units (m10s, man handle ats)...

Pretty sure i was unbeaten when i had a KT core, makes them call out all their at which you make sure to kill, then once youve taken enough damage retreat it and call out all the other tanks to mop up.

i remember there was a vet 3 kt + vet 2 jagd start from some assholes vs me and a real noob.
I was teaching him to play. (ffs)
so i taught him how 2 vet 3 Pershings roll with with field repairs. killed the KT and almost got the jagd. lost 1 pershing.

Yeah its not hard to counter if the guy in control of the KT is a complete tard, and majority of the games i was stacked against.

KT isnt the only unit in the core, and youve also got partners if you really needed them.
