Fire up = stupid fixing, "I got suppressed by an MG, click a button and i'm free"

I suppose if the suppression immunity was removed it'd be fine, making just a supression breaker and not a suppression immunity button.

And im not that axis player, im the AB player, AB shouldnt have fire up at all

Except smoke requires a mortar to use which is a whole other unit in itself costing 4 pop, and suppression recovery isn't instant in smoke, plus you have to time your smoke usage, as opposed to pressing a button. lol, fail respone deadbolt

Replace fire-up with sprint. That way AB and rangers can still be a quick strike force and can pursue vehicles, without it being an "i win button"

When allied armies get equivalent suppression units as the Axis have then it would be acceptable to tweak fire-up.

until then, the US army is going to be the most aggressive army purely by design, and by design, their infantry units are forced to venture into the teeth of the axis line to remove obstacles, something which the axis army rarely has to deal with.

US army needs fireup, its part of their design.

AB RR is the only thing I can see fire up being an issue.

And the fire up bonus has always been like that.

Most of the time I use it as a get out of "jail free card" . Running head long into mg42 and enemy fire is a good way to lose your squad. Not Even the AB rifle or the rangers can survive being abuse like that.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

Perhaps my suggestion might be a bit mad, but how about a decreace in accuracy while Fire Up is in operation?

It would be a sensible trade off then I think. You can escape the suppresion and run away, but not necesserily hit anything.

I can use an MG42 all the time for cheaper and no ability cool down.

Give all my squads an ability to break suppression b/c every BAR rifle can suppress just fine...

Too bad rifles still die like flies and BARs are not a global upgrade in EIRR.

If they did, id be alittle more sympathetic.

BAR suppression is the one saving grace a rifleman has for when assault infantry get too close.
It is nothing close to a reliable suppression platform nor should it be labeled as such.

We should totally swap cloak and fire up for a patch to see the epic whining.

57mm gets cloak, paks get AP rounds. 30 cal get MG42 suppress, MG42 get AP burst.   Rangers and airborne get cloak, storms and KCH get fire up.

It'll be hilarious.

and actually i would trade that nerfed eir piece of shit pak38 that can't move get massive ambush nerfes against a 57mm any day

when i have volks and see an unmanned pak and 57mm i grab the 57mm even without ap rounds

Guess what, the pak in CoH:O now is exactly the same as the pak in EIRR except for the fact that it can move slowly while in cloak, it uncloaks after one shot..if both a mod and the official game have changed the pak, there was obviously something OP about the pak.
