So here's the scoop:
I have new comp running Windows 7 - 64 bit
I own CoH, CoH-Opposing Fronts, and CoH Tales of Valor.

My question is, do I have to install starting with the first  disk? I tried installing only Opposing fronts. It went through the patches for a while, but can not get past the 1.34 MB one. IN the patch screen it says to enable peer to peer with a little select box beside it. I try to select it, but it doe nothing. After a few moments a screen comes up and says patch failed to download.

I went to this site http://www.patches-scrolls.de/company_of_heroes.php
and downloaded this file
http://dlh.net/cgi-bin/dlp.cgi?lang=&sys=pc&file=coh_en_2400_2500_patch.zip&ref=ps

In the THQ folder, the release notes show version 2.5. When I run the game, it is still trying to patch the 1.34 MB patch and just keeps getting the same error.

I have the game set as run as administrator.
Can someone help me out? If it is easier, I can jump on vent for instructions.

I hope you are right. I am uninstalling opposing fronts ( what I have so far) and installing TOV. I will keep you informed.

All you need is TOV it also shave around 6 hours off your patch time as its updated to the latest OF patch and uses the Relic Download Manager for the rest

ToV has both vCoH and OF content and is automatically patched to 2.5; after installing ToV you just have to go through like 3 small patches to be up to date.

Is it the RelicAutoPatcher torrent thing? or an actual patch?

Install the game, then copy your old CoH install onto your new computer.

First, by transfering coh to any type of storage will result your Coh being un patchable thats what happend to me when i did so, *folders where correct, coh might need to register at regedit?* and Tales of Valor is the one to use, are you downloading them by torrents from Coh patches website? or downloading via the game *via game takes time*

And i honestly don't know why you cant download the patch, install TOV then download the 4 patches at the TOV category http://cohpatch.relic.com/

Thats how i do it, always works..

I had the same problem once. It's a registry entry that makes it fail.
Do windows-r, or the equivalent in 7, then open the registry (regedit), find the entry that state your company of heroes version and change it to 2.601.

Yep, but you need to copy/paste the regedit entries too, wich can be a pain in the ass.

I tried everything everybody suggested here and it did not work.

HERE IS WHAT WORKS

Step 1 - Install ToV
Step 2 - Download this :http://www.filefront.com/17208542/Desktop.7z

Make sure it is put in C:\mydocuments\companyofheroes\patch. If you just run CoH after this step it WILL NOT WORK

Step 3 - You must go here:http://cohpatch.relic.com/
Step 4 - Download all the patches under ToV

Make  sure the patches are in your C:\mydocuments\companyofheroes\patch

Step 5 Run each patch in order

Run Coh - Done!!!
