Post made by  31st panzergren about a million years ago, most won't remember, but for those who do enjoy.
Sorry for making a mistake cunts, forgot how sadistic and boring you pricks were, take your left fist out your arse, take your right hand off the mouse, go outside and live a little.  FUCK ME!

DISCLAIMER FOR CURRENT PLAYERS
Most of your accounts/player profile has been mentioned below. If you will be offended by the way I have "rated" your skill do not read this Thread.

This thread is here for the benefit of newbies

----------------------------------------------

Definition of Stacked
Large amount of good players on one team against newbies or poor players/line up on their other team

Playing in EiR for a while, its common that newbies often get stomped totally by the good players where as on the other hand good players constantly stacked together to rack up easy wins.

While it is common sense to play with people to win, it is another thing altogether to stack an impossible odds.

I have no right to dictate what people should do, or with what games people should play with.

I can only advice the new players, which players to take note of, and how to assess your chances of winning in a game. If you don't have at least an estimated  40% chance of winning, you should NOT bother playing the game at all.

Match Up 2v2s against 3v3s

2v2s
When you play a 2v2, these are the key deciding points of a battle;

1. Troop Veterancy - In small games, more critical engagements occur where the slightest advantage you can get with everything helps a lot. Veterancy plays a very BIG role in 2v2s and affects the outcome far more than 3v3s. Take note of players with lots of veterancy in their army. If you want to win these players, you need a 3v3 to win.

2. Army Setup - The army set up is quite important in 2v2s as well. You do not have as much possibility of "variety" in 3v3s as compared to 2v2s because of the lack of players. Lack of anti tank capability (at least 3 ATGs) will show itself glaringly... as well as lack of machine guns when the enemy starts the big infantry push.

3. Coordination and Strategy - You and your partner must play a cohesive strategy rather than he fight his side u fight ur side. It only works against newbies. Good players always assist each other.

4. Offmap Abilities - Offmap

I recommend a rapid attack if you're on the assault with shock troops, or if you will find that the defence will become stronger and stronger with each passing moment.

3v3s

1. Force cohesion - In 3v3s, good teamwork, effective strategy and ferocity decides the match. Veterancy has lesser influence and the efficiency of your combined arms is extremely important.

How to Assess your Allies and your chance of winning?

Skill, Micro, Strategy
Players with good reputation for excellent micro, ruthless tactics and good battlefield awareness make fantastic allies. In fact, they may even tell you of your mistakes while microing their own armies.

Rate the Players by this frequency.

I always win or I win most of the time with this player - 3 points
I win sometimes with this player - 1 point
I usually lose with this player - 0 point

Reputation
Assess the players by this criteria if you are able to find information on them.

Player has a high win to lose ratio (75% win) or You have heard that this player usually wins and is good  - 1 Point

Veterancy
Veterancy makes some difference but not as much as skill. However, if you are up against very good players, you need all the vet in the world you can get.

This player has veterancy - 1 Point
This player has no veterancy - 0 Point

Communication
Communication is extremely important to forming a cohesive strategy. Players with mike are usually the best choice.

Add these points;

Player has Mike - 1 Point
Player communicates effectively and informs you frequently - 1 point
Player does not speak the same language or communicate poorly, or do not talk at all - MINUS 1 point.

Conclusion
Now total up the score.

You should be able to score a total of 7 points.
If your ally have only 4 Points, you should reconsider playing the game. If he has 5 points, you have a decent ally. 6 or 7 points you ought to win unless you really suck or the enemy is just as good.

Calculating win Percentages
Evaluate the amount of Good players you have on your team against the good players on their team. In sports term, you must match man-for-man, or you will be disadvantaged.

Defining Poor, Decent & Good Players
In my following list of players, I will list to the best of my ability the players I know who can be placed into these categories. I define good players as players who are able to win regardless of the veterancy they have, or the veterancy they are up against. They only lose when placed in their most horrible teams against heavily stacked odds.

Decent players are people who can generally play well and only win battles most of the time if they have well vetted troops.

Poor Players are players who cannot micro well, move units in huge blobs, have yet to improve themselves.

----------------------------------------------

This is the part which people will most likely be offended. Avoid if you don't like it. Consider yourself informed.

----------------------------------------------

Man-for-man
You can evaluate ur allies using the assessment criteria I have listed above, as well as this list I have below.

Poor players = 1 Points
Inbetween = 2 points
Decent Players = 3 points
Inbetween = 4 points
Good Players = 5 points

Find the names of the players and total them up accordingly. If the discrepancy between the teams are large, it is a one sided game. If it isn't, you still have a chance of winning = )

I will write as many of the names of players that I know of. I assess players based on the amount of times they have won, their ability to micro, the amount of stacked games they play, their chances of wininng with and without veterancy.

Players in the inbetween decent & good AND decent can be changed... It is hard to assess their skills objectively because most of the time they are in stacked games, have lots of vet, or I just don't get to play them as much...

The only one thing i have against this resurecting post is the fact that a large amount of the player base for this mod are away playing other games.

when your struggling to get more then 2 games a day because there are 12 people online and only 4 want to play we really don't need people calling stack!

And on another note, the player 'skills' list not only is only one persons opinion and while may/may not have been true back then it is most deffinitly out of date by now

From my long time playing VCOH and EIRR i have come to realize just how wrong this statement is. someone with too high of a w/l ratio should be suspect of stomping noobs often. As even by pure logic unless the game itself is obscenely imbalanced playing against someone of equal skill will result in an average of 50/50. (to simplify a ratio of 100 wins/200 losses means you have won 100 times and lost 200 times. As it doesn't specify the quality of players you were playing or the quality of allies you had it really means nothing.)

Plus might i say presence of vet in a company means nothing, anyone can run in kill a unit and retreat it eventually grinding it to vet 3.

outdated, probably from old EIR, and i noticed that ppl on the higher end are more Axis players than anything, or at least they were back probably when this was written.

Anyone could look good with HEAT round, improved barreled P4s and Tigers back then tbh.

While i have never played with MistenTH i have however played with Spiegas after him yelling at me to charge my vet 3 mandoes at a P4 when he was hiding an upguned m4 at his spawn and calling me a noob for not doing so as i used a hedge to shot block for my PIATS i realized that he is a player i probably will never play with again and tbh puts the Player list into question in my mind
