It likes to crash, speed at which it crashes seems directly proportional to the # of players on the server. Server menu is also laggy.
On the upside, it looks PHENOMENAL. It runs amazingly on my 3 year old machine on high settings. It FEELS like RO (didn't expect the feel to be the same, tbh). Cover system is very good. MG's will crouch down behind their cover (if standing) while they reload! Rifles can reload without expending full magazines. WHEN RELOADING A RIFLE, THEY TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE EXTRA LOST ROUND WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOLT!!!!!
Very much good stuffs here. Kind of a sub-optimal play time last night due to the crashes and difficulty getting into the game, but once that's ironed out it's going to be siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiick.

There's a tank (only) map on an airfield, just pz4's vs T34's. Kinda neat.
There's a Danzig remake (Apartments), has Firefight(deathmatch) and Territory modes for it. Looks good, scaled down a bit.
There's FallenSoldiers (idk it's RO1 name, same map, diff layout), has a "Countdown"(counterstrike) mode for it, as well as standard territory.
Most standard guns available, no MG42 makes me cry though.
There isn't *much* content, but it's enough to have fun with for a few weeks, and definitely enough to get bug fixes done with.

that sounds nice so far and i wouldn't worry about content since for RO1 were shitloads millions of custom maps and stuff made by community available
since its unreal3 engine there is good editing possibilities for maps and stuff

They've said whats in the beta is the Release content. It also takes them 3 months to make a fully functional tank which is why they are releasing with 2 tanks. It's all stuff they've mentioned before. |

Sorry, I was busy killing noobs and yelling at my team for not contributing anything. Like when they sit on the Soviet side of the bridges in Apartments. They don't get any kills, they get killed easily and they don't help capturing the sectors but somehow in their small minds it's all worthwhile. I'm also forced to play Commander or Squad Leader because no one else is capable of doing so. |
