Only after the sniper counters have been exhausted.

Only after the sniper counters have been neutralized, by either support or distance.

Yeah, you could use it, but would it really be useful after the initial shock?

That answers that about Vet 5 then. Yeah you could use it. because once you survive the enemy throwing everything he has at you to kill it. it's useful. Hell it was useful in making him throw everything at it

If the enemy is putting every effort in just killing my vet 5 unit - I'll be happy to indulge in killing every single thing that's set it's sights on my vet 5. If anything - I'll find the extra attention welcome.

And if the poor thing dies..
I'll get a new one.

You'd be nuts to throw everything at a unit simply because it has a fancier vet icon.
But then again, lots of people are nuts.

Isnt it the player's discretion of what to throw at what and when?

Hmm? stop taking everything I say at a face value on something that is rather self explanitory.

It is after all, no more powerful statistically wise than a vet3 unit.

High vet units only really do work in stomps.

People already throw everything they have at high vet nits regardless of vet 5. How many times have you gone into a game with a unit that has 600+ exp and is known by everyone in the launcher and forums simply for them to try and kill it.

It happens alot. So giving it a fancy icon just lets the non thinking player realize it's a damn good person using it

Still think that Infantry at Vet5 or even 4 should just be uncrushable as a bonus and that is it. Not like it a game breaker really.

How many Vet 4, Vet 5 Infantry will you see? Its not going to be a problem if the XP needed to attain these units are going to be very high.

If it is a problem for Vet 4 then at least allow it for Vet 5. Something nifty at the top that these units would know that being lamely ran over is not the way to go for someone who lived so long.

It's so easy to vet most units. Infantry is really easy, as long as they kill 1 thing a game you can hit retreat and get an army of vet 5.

Uhh, yeah, about infantry being uncrushable..

You sure you want your P4s to get hardcountered by a 57mm while a squad of riflemen run under the tracks to block it?

How many times have an average player deliberately risk sacrificing their Vet3 300-400XP infantry unit that had probably grown on them/babying it in order for a chance at maybe blocking a tank from getting away? Their uncrushableness won't make them any less gibable via explosive shell.

It doesn't seem likely that Vet 5 will be common once wipes start happening regularly. Not likely a person will have alot of Vet 5 with them and even if they do they probably been hoarding them and probably retreat early then let them die.

Shit I'd be willing to carry a vet 5 unit from 1 war to another. Even if only in accumulated xp. So you can see how high it gets

Kidding me? At vet 3, they get extra health, making them more durable. Add that to the fact that a squad like that's not going to get insta-gibbed by the tank, and you have at LEAST 3/4 of the p4's health gone, or even dead. Then you retreat the inf (if they are no longer combat effective), knowing that because of them, you killed a tank with no other losses. I'd take 1 high vet retreat for a P4 kill any day.
