I would say that this should wait until the doctrines are done.
However, vet as it is now is good, levels 4 and 5 could be interesting, but not cosmetic or they are meaningless. They don't have to be large changes, but something like:
Panzer 4 Vet 4: MG42 mount deals an extra 10% damage Vet 5: Heavy Crush 20s/240s

Well if you don't want to do it that's fine. What I'm really looking for is a general layout of how the Vet should be. Numbers can always be fine tuned and tweaked later on.

Skin or name change, i prefer name change to put yourself on the damn field! It's what made games like X-Com so personal, naming your units gives you a sense of ownership.

+1 Also a rework on the requirements for the Kettenkrad (4-16-32) especially since it cant kill anything, so getting any vet at all is almost fictional And the requirements for the Support Grens please (10-40-80)

I could make some vets,,, but i don't know if it will be worth anything , so here are some ideas PEPGs------------------------- vet 1 - 10xp Received Accuracy - 1 vet 2 - 30xp Moving accuracy - 1 vet 3 - 50 xp Damage - 1.1 recieved suppression 0.8 vet 4 - 120 xp Health 1.1 Accuracy 1.2 vet 5 - 240 xp +1 additional squad soldier Recieved damage in all covers (not negative) - 1.2 ------------------------- Assault Grenadiersvet 1 - 10 xp Recieved suppression 0.9 vet 2 - 40 xp Sprint ability , Recieved accuracy 0.8 vet 3 - 80 xp Accuracy 1.15 Damage 1.2 vet 4 - 160 xp Moving Accuracy 1.2 vet 5 - 320 xp Unit gains commando smoke like ability (1 use) Recieved accuracy in negative cover 1.3 , in all other covers 1.1 i can make more ideas if you like it .... if not , well then no

dude its vet 5 , 240 xp..... last thing is supposed to be elite/ hard to get..... try getting pgs to 240 xp , you should have a noticable reward for this imo. and how this encourages blobbing more than people blob currently ? lol

if u give axis extra man,soon you will have to give it to allies cuz they will whine how it's not fair,and u dont need 7man ab/rangers squads running arround lol,240xp...u expect them to live that long

lol,240xp...u expect them to live that long my best ranger that i ever had was with 357 xp and i just lost an ranger that had 260 xp yesterday.

overall vet 5 i think is a good idea, it gives more persistency aspect as its rather easy to vet 3 with some units now,, and upping vet 5 to high xp levels will give more reason to play when your company is maxed out and making vet 5 'elite' and giving it some cool things would be preferable imo. I can see the rage of people though , when their 300 xp inf or 600 xp vet 5 tank will get retreat killed
