Im almost finished with the vcoh version so i have a few questions :
1 How do i load the map with EIRR?
2 How do i create the sectors (i know the sector drawing stuff i just wanna know how to get them to be lik eirr)
3 how do i get the Hq to dissapear in game
4 how do i test it in eirr

IIRC all points are converted to zones in EIR regardless of strat/fuel/muni

I feel that I should point out really quickly (and im sure you've heard this from others) that maps divided by water features are not rly fun to play on.
Anything that looks like vire river valley is just not good for the mod's playability.
I would suggest experimenting with other water features aside from the "vast random river that bisects the map in 2"

Why not? I would personally quite like a map like that tbh, it makes it more interesting than: "You two take the city, I'll take the fields" or something like that.
I feel all the mappers have just gotten into this boring trend of fields & buildings, with nothing else.
I want river maps, I want beach maps, I want totally urban maps.
Something different can be nice is all I'm saying.
As for the map, Hants, it does actually look really nice

As for the map, Hants, it does actually look really nice
The problem is, people hate having to change their gameplay for a map. You think " Hey, fully urban might be fun", but once you make it everyone whines that units get stuck here or there trying to cram a tank down an alleyway.

Oh I agree, it's why I HATE mapping for EIR. Because anything besides the standard will almost never get played. People like nonthreatening, especially when they think a playstyle will favor their opponent more than them. This is why you see maps that are all pretty much the same being played constantly.

TBH for the past couple of months, its come down to an utter refusal to play the 'standard' maps for me and quite a few other people. I don't think that i could ever play abbe 3v3 or 4v4 again
