Yeah I drank alot in school. Played alot of Poker and hit casino's too. It was living to that excess that brought me to moderation. I had a great time don't get me wrong but it's distracting.

Yeah, then you look at your wallet, and you cry

I'm in a ranting kind of mood. As an addendum to my last. It's also absurd that you can legally join most nations military before you can vote or drink.(aside from the fact that the only requirement to vote is age dependent)

This is directly related to the reduction in youth going out to seafaring workplaces

If you sail a bit you get your dick wet, you get to see the bad sides of alcoholism, and you learn safety-on-board (TM). you also get to relate to hard disipline, reduced work environment laws and the miltary-like chain of command

imo every kid these days need a summer of hard, degrading work aboard a ship

I would pay 25% of the fee's for killer and elite to be sent on ships

man i would 50% for that on second thougt, ID PAY IT ALL dammit

have fun getting raped by the boatswain!

Holland, drink beer from 16, drive car 18, hard liquor 18, smoke weed 18.

- smoke weed
and you get german rules. And yet we still have problems with teenagers drinking too much.

There's more than drink to be blamed for poor youth culture.

Tbh, with the 5000 completly different and unique types of beer out there you probably just havent tried the right one

With the average beer containing 1 standard unit of alcohol, with the daily guideline ammount being 3-4 the average male would essentially need 3-5 years of drinking 3-4 different beers every single night if he is hoping to do this without sustaining permanent liver damage.

Factor in the fact the average beer costs 1 dollar, and that there will be rather significant travel/shipping costs to attain most of these beers, it is rather safe to assume one would require 10.000-15.000 dollars (if not more) over the course of these 3-4 years to pay for all these beers, essentially meaning a yearly expenditure of 2500-5000 dollars(Avg. Est. Req. ammount = $3750)

Consider that the only place where drinking 3-4 beers every single night for 3-4 years would (statistically) be both socially and personally acceptable is college/university. A safe assumption to make is that the average college/uni student will have available to him roughly 250 dollars a month to spend on going out and other recreational activities. If this college student does opt to spend every single dollar he has on the beer, without going out, he will end up with $3000/year of beer money - which is below the average estimated ammount required to try out every single beer within the scope of 3-4 yers.

So, statistically speaking, one can not logically assume that a male, even if he's gone through college/university has tried out all 5000 beers, nor that he ever will. Rendering your implication that he, in fact, should do it in hopes of finding a beer that he likes, completely illogical.

Wall of text

And thats why i love Canada, all our beer is sold in one place. And we have the greatest idea for beer ever 'The Variety Pack' a 12 pack, each with a different beer inside.

Although honestly myst you take things way to seriously, throw a party, invite some friends over tell them all to pick up a case of something different.

Also your calling my statement illogical assumes all this has to be done only through out your college years is illogical. And second, find out the basic types of beer. Light, Dark, bitter, honey/sweetened, nut, fruit. Then try 1 of each see which one is closest to your tastes.

Or even better, show some style, beer is the best thing to go with foods, there is a beer out there that perfectly accents every dish. (google is your friend) Make/order the food grab a few beers, not only will this get you laid post haste, itll show you have more style then buddy passed out on the floor who won't even remember the last 5 hours of the night.

Oh and a tip, Honey & nut goes nicely with Salmon

So first it's "5000 completely different and unique" types of beer, then you change your statement ot there being just 6 types of beer?

If you pass out from a mere 3-4 beers, that's your problem, btw.

You obviously know nothing about beer.

A 'dark' beer is a basic category, they have thier similarities but at the same time can be quite unique. 'nut" for example derives its flavours from nuts, so a peanut base would taste quite different from a almond, hazlenut etc.

why did you assume i meant 3-4 beers would make me pass out. I was talking about the idiot at every party/event that has alcohol (there is one at every one) who guzzles it/cant handle it and passes out/pukes everwhere

I've been away from those forums for waaaaay too long...
You guys aren't seriously arguing about the statistical probability of having 5000 types of beer in a single life?

I gotta find a new topic to debate on...

Meh, its not that hard tbh the statistical probability in Toronto is quite high, a little thing called BEERFEST makes it easy. You pay a flat rate to get in and go around and sample from all the companies that are there (which there are extreme amounts from all over the world all with multiple types.)  They serve you in small sample cups so that everyone isn't wasted in the first couple of hours. I know of quite a few other places that have similiar events as well.

Amazing fun to go and make a night of.

So it is logical to assume that, for instance, you could enjoy one nut beer while hating another kind of nut beer?

Because nowhere in my post did I propose drinking more than 3-4 beers and you proposed a guy that passes out/pukes all over the place?
