Mass clown cars with AI infantry inside and the clown car's MG42... rapes anything that isn't elite infantry, and especially flamers of death, ranger cookfest =(
Except they fall apart faster than tissue paper in water. I don't understand how they cause any Allied players any problems, they're such a joke. They get torn apart in seconds, even by lowly AT Rifles, let alone PIATs, RRs, Zooks, ATGs, armor, etc.

Quote
Axis Support > Allied Support
We can argue all day about Allied vs Axis support, but what really matters is Allied Arty > Axis Arty. Any sort of support weapons or defensive position is useless as it can be near-instantly destroyed by all sorts of arty. Allies simply get too much no-brainer insta-win arty, both on- and off-map. I can go on and on about how bullshit it is that Allies get such I WIN buttons, but the real issue the Axis' lack of comparable arty presence. While Allies are one-shotting the fuck out of everything and taking down entire towns with their barrages, what do Axis get?

*Nebelwerfer - Ever since it lost its ability to crit buildings it's a joke. It does decent suppression (with terrible accuracy), but lacks any of the killing power that would really make it useful. I don't even consider this arty. Possibly good if used in multiples.
*Stuka - Now that it's finally been fixed vs infantry, it's no longer useless. However, it's also woefully inaccurate, and even direct hits don't deal the damage they should. Only useful if you run an artillery-centric Def company, with multiple Stukas on the field at the same time.
*88 Barrage - Seems nice on paper, but is actually near-useless. It's extremely short range and low number of shells make it a gimmick and not useful at all. Terrible for requiring a T3 unlock + T3 selection.
*Hotchkiss Stuka - A Stuka with only four shells (basically a gimp of a gimp). Costs way too much for way too little effectiveness.
*Hummel - Now we're talking. This is the only arty piece comparable to the Allies', and even then it's a T3 for SE. Still very inaccurate for its cost and role.
*Hummel w/ Incendiary Barrage - The best (and only really good) arty piece for Axis, but it requires a T3 unlock + T3 selection.

Let's not forget abilities like Radio Triangulation, which literally gives you map hacks to see exactly where to place arty (as well as the movement and position of any troops, as well).

I would take any Allied arty piece (or offmap) over any Axis one any day of the week, no lie.

Don't say any, because then you could end up with the 25pdr.

25Pdr isn't bad. Its only 350 manpower and 120 fuel per piece. You can spam these things literally. I could have switched few fireflies and get 9 of these for the epic lulz of it. All with creeping barrage. Lose one, no deal they lost more in attempt to destroy it than I lost. Besides it does its job decently. I mean you want to kill something? Boom boom boom boom boom boom. Guarantee something dead at least that mortar or MG if you had one squad spotting.

So far Allied tanks > Axis tanks as mysthalin has pointed out. M10s are far more effective than StuGs and such at its tank destroying role. M18/M10 both can knite most of the axis tanks and effectively penetrate. Sherman Upgun becomes a far better P4. Splash is lower but who cares as it has so huge accuracy vs infantry anyway that it can two shoot grenadiers everynow and then if the infantry wants to blob in their movement. Either way its 1 kill guarantee with each shot. With no fear of stickies just DRIVE IT into a blob, make the shercker dance while the mg and upgun finishes off the squads. It is hilarious. M10 crush is second thing beyond fun. M8s, you never hit those buggers due to their dodge and you at least need 2 paks that cover one another to get rid of them.

I wish they did give allied option to buy panthers and M10s for the axis. No I wouldn't buy M10s I'd buy stugs and then fight vs Allied panther spammers who can have at least 2 of them and one arty piece or a single tank depending on how they wasted their fuel. Thank god I wouldn't have to fight the tank spam no more if theres only 2 tanks to fight vs.

Why do you have to think in terms of blob for everything?
"25pdr is weak and cheap? Doesnt do anything useful on its own? Lets just blob it! LULULUL!"

Some units have to be perfected. Make counters for blobbing but don't base the unit performance on the "blob" power that it can make.

You would only do this if you were not interested in ever killing another unit for as long as you live.

Nothing wrong wtih 25 pdr. It's just that it's short-range ;(.

And uhh, speedy. Axis tanks = Allied tanks overall, I just pointed out the equal-roled tanks which are supperior on the allied side (M10 better tank destroyer than StuG, etc.) Just the same way IST/Ostwind > Crocodile Sherman.

Short range, and I swear it does less damage/splash and is less accurate than the 105. I just swear.

It's also cheaper than the howitzer! And non-doctrinal!

Also, nothing wrong with either the stuka or the hotch stuka.

Hotch stuka rapes everyones faces, tbfh.f

Have the tank's LoS reduced to 0, and it's max speed/accel reduced by ~40%. The tank can still fire if other units are spotting for it.

This would represent the crew's cautiousness while operating under these conditions.
It would also turn Button from 'I have you Buttoned, therefore you are dead' to 'I have you Buttoned, now you better back off and support your armor better next time,' while still even allowing the Allies to get some hits in on the tank.

The issue is that if the tank doesnt lose its speed while buttoned it will be able to simply drive over the button squad.
If somehow button could be made more effective at close range than long range(so if tank drives to button squad trying to crush it it will stop), or make the tank unable to crush infantry while buttoned.

I only named the differences

25 pdr:

AOE: (7/4/1)
DMG: 125
RANGE: 180 (180/120/35)

105:

AOE: (7/3/1)
DMG: 200
RANGE: 275 (275/150/80)

so the only big difference would be is that at the edge of the explosion infantry hit by 105 receive 60 dmg and if they get hit by the 25 pdr they receive 37.5 dmg.
wow... I expected more lol.

I'll trade you a Nebel for your 25 lbr, they're about the same cost anyways.
While you're Nebel is busy suppressing a single infantry squad or tickling my support weapons, I'll be busy 1-shotting the shit out of everything you have.

It was 1400 xp, and to this day no one has actually proved having a firefly that came close to it.  Tongue

Their have been empty claims backed up by "I swear!', but nothing more hehe.

that sounds like a challenge? perhaps i accept.

This thread was asking for biased posts from the start, it's not a surprise to me at all that it ended up like this. There's a good reason I avoided this thread for the most part, other than commenting on why I'm avoiding it and how vetwhoring doesn't prove unit effectiveness.
