The first fight took place on the road to Carentan, just outside the beaches, on the allied way to our great city.

After routing the allies on their offensive, the volksgrenadier battalions moved on to take the fight to the enemy - and engaged the enemy where they had come from : on Gold Sector - one of the main beach-heads the allies had taken up

After this victory the volksgrenadiers decided to engage in a pincer movement on the enemie's back and take back the town of Nuenen. Allied High Command had apparently cought scent of who may be leading the charge at this point - and sent a Royal Artillery Brigade - lead by the venerable PandaExpress to aid MrConnery.
http://www.filefront.com/17736907/PanCon.rarAfter brutal, blooded fighting the volksgrenadiers were finally cut off from supplies, but did not retreat until their last breath - and took many veteran allied tank crews in the fight. The Duke and the Count were picked up by a one of the Duke's Hotchkiss Stukas to be re-connected with their reserve Volksgrenadier battalions. Most unfortunately - the Enigma Decoders were hit by an earth-shaker round during the fight, which destroyed the army's capability to intercept allied communications.
Due to this failure the Volkssturm was pushed back to where they started - onto the Road to Carentan. There they engaged yet another US Heavy Armour and Ranger Brigades - this time lead by a pair of Turkish Generals - Wicky26 and Mchucky.

We believe we have did our part for the Fatherland. The volksgrenadiers have once again proven their worth in battle, and let no living man ever doubt their power again. Our sole regret is the loss of the Comms team - for the equipment they use is expensive. The volksgrenadiers themselves knew what they were going into, and they know their lives have been sacrificed for a most noble goal. For the victory of the Fatherland!
