So I started to use 1 again,in hope I will find it's use somehow...but still, especially as T2,he seems kinda meh...compared to ostwind,I would rather take ostwind, kills inf faster,is better against light vehichles...he's turet turns quite slow, and I have noticed that even I have enemy units around him, sometimes he's turret is facing wrong direction, then moves stupidly and  things like that, and doesnt shot for some time...he supresses fine, and you can have him lock down which is useless I think(didn't try it),because there is always that atg behin  inf blob, every time I used him,he rarely did any good, now when you get mg34 in same slot with him,I always rather take those because they are 7pop less, and do more or less same job quite good, and survive much more time, and can be recrewd...

anyone had more luck with him,or finds him more 'usefull' ?

yea,you can have him to shoot down planes, but to have 10pop for that on field is too much...other unit combinations of 10 pop usually do more than he does every game...only times he is rly usefull is maybe in the end if they dont have atg around and only have inf which they rush, only then...but for that pop you can have other LV combinations that are more effective,or ostwind...
with middle T4 I guess he is a bit better, but you should't have T4 to make units usefull, and since none T4 rly benefits falls, and face it if you play luft, that's because of falls  Cheesy(except crete veterans, but midle and bottom T3 are somehow superior combination for falls you can have, atleast in my opinion).

Just my observation on him, again, maybe people are better with him,but for some time,I didnt even see one in game, and I can only see 1 on leadboards...

IMO, the Wirblewind needs a huge penetration buff to put it on par with the Ostwind. As it is the P4 IST is better in every single regard, with only a small price difference between the two. If the Wirble could reliably fight (or even just scare) light vehicles, the it might be worth it. Otherwise it should just be priced as a slightly tougher Quad.

it takes 3 pak shots to kill quad if I am not mistaken, and it takes 3 57 mm to kill wirlblewind....except quad is faster and cheaper...and not T2 unlock...

Wirb surpresses faster than the quad but also has 5 less range. Just putting more information out for discussion, i ainted used a wirb in ages so I cant really judge.

I dont know if its stats is changed here in EIR, but in vcoh i feel its better then this one.
When i ran my luftwaffe i tried 1-2 of them and it was meh, takes a bit time to kill which I at least cant afford.

It's only useful to be an Backcap guard at late.

wirblewind can be pain into the ass its suppression is really good at least against americans

but i don't know its resource costs currently

what's probably not balanced is that PE luftwaffe gets all the handy tools like fallschirms, flaks, flakvierling wirble

what's exactly handy with flakvierling, thing is nearly useless...that's why u see so many of them on field  Roll Eyes
and flak...same thing..but a bit more usefull...whit amount of arty and handheld at,having a weaker 88 as T3 doesnt help u much...I can see so much more use from panzerknacker and medikits...

I dare u,if all those things are so handy, then make luft, and use them all,see how u do Wink ...you shouldn't have to much problem I guess...

wirblewind cost 310mp and 140fuel...

Flakverling shreds infantry, it only issue is being 3 shot by an atg

the flakvierling is good in support to a flak
it is probably to much pop but otherwise its great

i don't like to play with elite infantry that much thats why i usually choose doctrins with vehicles....i would try a wirblewind company but to play luftwaffe without falls sounds like fail

but if we look arround in the eir community the most successful pe players play luftwaffe

i would go so far to say PE generally is a crap faction but some luftwaffe builds might be OP.

could need a fuel decrease and manpower increase like 110 fuel 400MP or something

except all imobile stuff axis have is 'fail',with ammount of arty allies have, but if you wanna stick all that resources in 1 spot that is gonna get artied to hell,by my guest...

thrust me,wirble company would fail bad,but u can try it,it T2 so u can get it right away, and see how it does...

Vierling + flak 88 = win.

Arty couldnt beat it before if you did sandbag whilst healing.

But with all the new off map i bet its easy as pie. Tongue

Wirble needs an ability that lets it shoot like the flak 36, low suppression, high accuracy so it can kill infantry or a higher rof ability that lets it suppress really fast but then it has a long reload

it has a lot of promise tho.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

One very important note about the wirblewind is, that it may supress fast, BUT it supresses one squad at a time(yes it deserves to be in bold) while on the other hand the quad deals supression to everywhere around the target in a certain radius.

The wriblewind has always been sort of a sad choice, maybe it should get a penetration buff and/or group surpression radius as a unlock, Or we can just devide it up as we go, top path has group surpression, middle buffs it the most with pen and acc, and bottom for something else.

It should get the same range as the quad tbh, for its cost its a terrible unit.

Also the luft doctrine buffs kinda suck for it, lockdown doesnt make a noticable difference and neither does the penetration buff in the t4.
