i was just wondering after playing some Civ 5 and got bored of the non death stacks i started thinking about Civilization 3 and 4 i started wondering if would you guys that still own that game like to play some civ 4?

just wondering.

civ5 is the most shit game ever compared to civ IV but u need the expension BTS too

i still play it often but its not realy multiplayer compatible because it takes to long
except someone runs a pitboss server but then one game can last half a year because there are usually not more then one turn done a day

I actually agree with Big D here.  Civ 5 was a total letdown compared to the advances made in Civ IV.

i agree completely civ 5 is quite shit and that is the reason why i thought of Civ 4

Graphically it is amazing game and with the new Artillery system- I quite like it. But honestly- I don't like one thing. For example attacking Barbarian warriors with a bloody tank the warrior group always manages to do at least 1 dmg to the squad. Thus I liked Civ 3 where you could simply rape everything that was from ancient era with your modern stuff without suffering any dmg or losses.

Either way I like most parts- but I hate this: No religion, the governmental system is awkward I don't like it either. Civ 3 had it nice. "I wanna be a commie woot" "etc...if they had made Civ 5 more like they made Civ 3 and 4 it might have been even better...

FFH and FF are amazing mods. I would ALWAYS be up to play those.

Did any of you play Civ4 on release? I was horrble play, horrible bugs. Civ5 for release is ahead of Civ4. What made Civ4 really good was the expansions they had. Give Civ5 time and it'll be the same way.(Death stacks made late game multipler never ending. Catapult suicide stacks being the most annoying)

they are like wolks with fausts, you use them 1 or 2 times and when you are done you just rush the enemy.

thats how this game works dude
collateral damage to counter stacks
flanks to counter collateral damage units in a stack (e.g. cavalry buffed by flank promotions)
if you find that annoying you have no clue how to play this game

civ5 is just shit
civ4 had some technical issues on release but the ai of civ5 is just not existent and it feels like a casual console gamer wanking shit like civ revolutions

to all civ4 players if you dont checked it out yet you should install the BAT mod which adds some more options and improves interface and graphics without altering gameplay
