The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim hub

Crazy stuff, it has enough potential to beat mass effect 3 and dragon age 2.

Oblivion was excellent, although the combat system lacked in anything good. Especially the Back in, slice back out combat i learned lol.

Don't worry, that little cheat was fixed in Skyrim.

They've focused largely on improving combat in Skyrim. Everything that I've read so far looks fantastic, it's just a matter of execution, and everyone knows Bethesda fail at execution 100% of the time.

The only things i'm really hoping for is an optimised engine and the ability to mod, so we can wait for more mods like Nehrim that make the game 100x better. One monster would make the game choppy, two or three would send most PC's into lag avenue.

The best part about Oblivion and the worst part about the two latest Fallout releases is the difficulty. Fallout is way too easy while Oblivion has this great feature to increase the difficulty to super hardcore OMFG mode.

This game looks great, but the release is still in one year with probable delays.

Want Every Bethesda Game They'll Ever Make? Better Start Making A Baby

Bonuses for pre-ordering a game are a nice incentive, but how long are you really going to use that tote bag or exclusive in-game costume? Bethesda wants to ensure that you remember Skyrim, so they want a member of your family named after it. According to their blog, Bethesda will be giving an "unknown reward" to anyone who gives birth to a child named Dovahkiin on the game's release date (11/11/11).

UPDATE: Pete Hines has now tweeted specifics on the reward. If someone actually does this, they'll get free codes for every Bethesda game ever on Steam. This includes all of their games from the past and those that will come out in the future.

The company's Pete Hines says that the ideal conception date would have been last Friday, but inducing labor a few days early should be no big deal. However, you may want to check out Bethesda's warning first:

"Disclaimer: Any reward for completing this quest will not ultimately justify the potential teasing your child could — and probably will — endure over its lifespan. Bethesda Softworks is not responsible for your parenting. You may gain experience points for completing this quest, but you will not care at 3am on a work night. Completion of this quest may also result in decreased desire to play video games and/or function as a human being. Consult with your friends before embarking on this quest; while it may not start in prison, it probably ends there."

Is dooming their kids to a lifetime of wedgies really going to stop hardcore Elder Scrolls fans? We didn't think so: Get to work, people.

I was wondering what to name my child, now I no longer have to, thank you bethesda! It's about time I got something out of  this teen pregnancy. I will name it Dovahkiin Alphonse "Scarface Al" Capone... even if it's a girl.

On a side note, they had to disqualify Russia and some Asian countries where Dovahkiin and Dozakhian are common names.
