with this change i wont be able to put a munitions halftrack in my company Sad so i can only fit in 2 inf squads, ist and 50mm. wow this really does suck

You can still spam them in your company, just less on the field at the same time. (Which is probably a good thing with gameplay having a tendency towards infantry blobbing anyway)

We'll monitor the support vehicle's pop closely and make adjustments if needed.

then make assault grens and tankbusters 5 pop. but not the default pgrens. all the upgrades like stickies and lmgs are way better than pgren upgrades.

i just want to add if you guys are thinking about changing Vet seargent i recomend that you guys take a look at Mechanized Support on Tank Hunters new doctrine for it gives vet seargents eather the ability to trow grenades out of houses and HT or Gives them heal of 0.1 each seckond.

Then why are heavy tanks higher pop than medium tanks if pop does not reflect unit performance? Or the Marder being 6 pop compared to other ATGs being 5? Or mobile arty being more pop heavy than immobile arty?

No matter what you say, Pop is already used to balance unit performance, otherwise a Sherman, P4, Pershing, Church Croc, Panther, Tiger, KT would all be the same pop.

I'm talking about infantry. And even for tanks, it's about what field presence they can bring, a 10 pop M10 can beat a 12+ pop tank. So it's only indirectly about performance.
