Would screw up your ATGs too. Not to mention the STuG should WTF rape all your armor with its high velocity 75mm.

Off topic i know, but StuG's should really be better at the AT roll they were designed for, that being said so should hellcats

Ah i really don't use Stugs, just commenting as people seem really unsatisfied with them

[2] They can be recrewed multiple times by a smart player, which increases the cost effectiveness of the support weapon and the basic infantry squad used to recrew it for the fraction of the cost.

It's always been this way and worked even better with the decrew button. If you want to save vet or make the weapon back to full strength, you can just decrew the gun and send fresh meat to recrew it.

In short, I don't agree with Skaffa that the MG42 not worth its cost. However, I can accept that the MG42 could not be cost effective in Skaffa's Point of View because of his playstyle, which seems to favour more fluid combat and hence more mobile weaponry would be better.

Good post thx. Indeed one of its powers is that you recrew it. One of the reasons I prolly also dont use it is because I dont use any volks really, or have spare inf lying around to insta recrew something.

To perhaps bring the discussion to the next level I'll say what I had in mind as POTENTIAL ideas to improve its survivability - without having to have other units around to recrew it.

I thought of making it a 4 man team, but I think that would be too much for several reasons, its good but has to big of an impact I feel. It would mean having to change the price perhaps, snipers have to shoot more to kill an MG etc.

What I find more interesting is giving it a Field Dressing/Field Aid ability you can buy for 15 muni. You can then if you are able to save the original crew revive one crew member. Ofcourse Im not saying this is 100% good idea or that it 100% should be done. But Im posting it so we can discuss this to find out if its a good idea. Pls keep that in mind. Also worth discussing is if it should be a one time use or a 2 time use as it is in the Inf doctrine for engineers.

edit: 15 muni is prolly to low imo but ye up for discussion
