there you go, you can run two of them and they'd be cheaper than a sniper and still less pop, and you couldn't really counter snipe it =)

is that not the same thing as spamming recon sections but... recon sections can double for mainline infantry and a 3 man gerb sqaud could most definalty not replace your mainline infantry. i fail to see your point.  

We dont have to ALSO take th exact stats from OMG, we can increasse the MP price to about 240 mp per sqaud of them. and 9 pool value.

8th, PM me and I'll try and stat some G-jagers into my doctrine unlock suggestions. Im sure Schmidt could try an impromptu stat of them too (btw, G43s suck ass @ accuracy, might consider stormie k98s since theyre the best ranged rifle weapon in the game :3)

If we go by their stats, the had soldier armour and a low total HP, so the pop should get lower as this is a support unit that can easily get raped if rushed(like a sniper!) So maybe consider 4 pop instead of 5.

But we are saying in general this is a sniper like unit, so therefore it has weak survivability in HP and armour standards.

Like 55 hp per man for 165 hp total with soldier armour(like support grens), or we can go 80 hp per man with 240 hp total with infantry armour.

Thats just two examples of their survivability, relatively we mean to keep it low right? So we should decide.

smth like 2 man fall team,1 with fg42? other with sniper,they can cloak in cover,with crete veterans they can move cloaked. This way you have option to have more 'regular' sniper if you choose that T4,or more like mando sniper with other tiers. MAYBE give him sprint upgrade(since now you can buy it on PE units) with longer cooldown,smoke is still better tbh. And you can't put him in inf halftrack.

And i don't think pe needs a sniper unit.

They have options to counter a enemy ones and have options to take out singel units with the Same effect like a sniper.

Ermmm no? We have hardcap officers as well ? should have done a long time ago tbfh, but so id would not say there is something wrong here.

Hardcaps are retarded in their essence - and anything that requires a hardcap is OP even on it's own. The hardcap merely serves to hide the OPness of the unit somewhat.

Right now the hardcaps on officers could(and should) be removed, as the officer off-maps have been put on global recharge, they do not destroy entire armies on their own and their auras don't stack.

Mysth knows what I mean, the proposal to put an immediate hardcap on a unit as it is introduced is just retarded, there is obviously something wrong with it if it needs a hardcap straight away.

They put a hefty weight on your pool, and there buffs don't stack. Plus you should keep them safe from combat anyway...

Exactly, now they are balanced. A hard-cap isn't needed because the units are only realistically useful to a certain point.

True but the hardcap is also meant as a guideline so that new players don't buy 30 captains.

Anyways, let's get back to topic.

What people need to keep in mind is that
1: A sniper can be added without imbalance or breaking the game
2: A sniper is not the equal of a scout recon, if you have another suggestion then make another thread about it, this thread is about the PE sniper.
3: It's not mirroring to add a unit of the same category, if WM had an HMG and the US didn't then it wouldn't be mirroring to add a variant of the HMG to the US, just look at how different they are ingame.
