There are other reasons of course, I just think it's helpful to players who may not know how many they should have in their company. It's not very realistic, fun or balanced to face a call-in with mostly officers, that's why the hardcap was introduced, but that's still off-topic. Try to remain on topic please.

No, the reason the hardcap was introduced because people cycled 6 FOO officers. Now that FOO is on global cooldown, it doesn't matter - hence hardcap can be removed.

Mysthalin is right actually, now that all the officer tied off-maps are on global cooldown and since multiple officer auras don't stack, there's very little reason for us to keep the hardcaps in place.

Though I don't even think anyone in their right mind would hit the current hardcap limit.
(Unless you're really losing your officers constantly,  in which case hardcaps are currently only punishing players with poor micro)

Yes but his first argument was that you shouldn't need to hardcap a unit from the start unless there is something wrong with it and he's right about that. But that still doesn't change the fact that it makes little or no difference to remove the hardcap as players will not need so many officers.

In any case, it should not be discussed in this thread.

back then when you could order wehr units your could get the wehr sniper that did not go good for pe because a lot of support goes into other units and the manpower and muntion is not there why would you want to spend 500 manpower and 200 muntion when you could repair your own units and equip with better things

you would have to spend a lot of pp just to get it or rearange your entire company

a sniper would actually save you a lot of mp fuel and munitions by taking out ATGs and mgs

not everyone puts tons of munitions into schrecks

more effective is pak + sniper vs atg.
