Aloha all. I've just recently found this mod on fileplanet and looked awesome, so I installed the latest version using the link on this site. I've setup my division, installed everything, but when I try to launch EiR nothing happens. I looked in the Task Manager and it shows that EiR and COH start up, but nothing happens and then they disappear from the task manager. I tried to start a battle with Apex (steep learning curve but wth ), followed everything he suggested but it still doesn't start up. The Launcher seems to work; It says it downloaded the battle file correctly, but when it says launch EiR and I click yes, the application goes blank, the pc seems to do something and then the launcher closes and nothing happens... no error message... nothing. Help? I kinda wanna start playing Thanks, K

First of all, welcome to the forums and to EiR!
As to your problem, I have this same problem sometimes (usually the first time I try to play EiR after a reboot). The solution for me is to open the task manager before trying to start EiR. Then, when it tries to launch and nothing happens, end the EuropeinRuins.exe process and then end the RelicCOH.exe process. Now try to launch EiR again and it should work (at least it does for me). I have no idea what causes this. Please let us know if this fixes the issue.

Thanks for the welcome!
No it's the boxed version w/ the free copy of DoW. Thanks for the advice, I'll try it out now.

Nope... still no joy. I have no idea why its doing it. Though the actual EiR folder in the CoH directory seems to have a very small amount of files for a mod. Archives only has 3 files and Locale/English only has 2. And there only seems to be a couple in the CoH directory aswell. Is this anything to do with it?

Nope, that's the correct amount.
What happens if you run EuropeInRuinsMod.exe without using the launcher, the same thing?
You may try creating a shortcut to RelicCOH.exe and adding the following commandline parameters:
-dev -modname EuropeInRuins
It'd look something like this:
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company Of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -modname EuropeInRuins

Mmmm... bit of a noob question, but remind me of how I go about that again. And no, both the launcher and the actual EuropeInRuinsMod.exe don't start the mod.

Go to your Company of Heroes directory, right click on RelicCOH.exe and click Create Shortcut...

In the 'Target' field right? '"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -modname EuropeInRuins' Its the only path I could get which was valid. And that didn't work anyway! CoH booted up (but EiR appeared in Task Manager also) but when it got to the loading screen before the menu it crashes to desktop. And then both RelicCOH.exe and EuropeInRuinsMod.exe disappear off Task manager... Still no joy it seems... AAAAAARGH

I get the same issue sometimes when using the launcher and from what I heard, so do others. It basically launches EiR but instead of appearing and maximising it just keeps running in the background without ever popping up. The only solution to this for me is to shut them down in the task manager and open up the .exe manually after doing so. This doesn't always happen for me it though, it usually only happens when playing a game for the first time that day. Figured it might have something to do with the launcher .

Hmm... Are you running any virus scan software? If so, try disabling it... I'm just fishing at this point because I'm clueless...

Yeah I use AVG, Spybot SD and Zonealarm Pro. I've already tried it with AVG and ZA turned off. I'll try it with Spybot.
And here's the warning log.

Hmm.. I think your warnings.log looks normal unless I'm missing something... Have you tried re-downloading/reinstalling...
