In such case 35 mun is too cheap, recon tommies pay 45 mun and are far worse platform combat wise.

and they get the ability for free where grens need a special doctrine (terror) and a T3 to make this upgrade available to purchase

and im not sure but i think the gren karabiner marksmenshot kills by damage and not by crit (similar to airborne sniper that need more than one shot to snipe full health units) and not like recon tommies or normal snipers

More importantly - recon tommies have better sight range than grenadiers do.

and another thing, grens don't hold a sniper rifle, have a rifle icon above their head or show the sniper tracer when fired. making the ability shit annoying fake to fight against.

They do not get a sight bonus, they do not get a detection bonus. No recharge reduction with veterancy

I don't know whether Pershings have HVAP or HE rounds on them, making them shit annoying to fight against.

you're right spinn, the pershing not showing any notification that its HVAP is also really annoying. On The HE pershing however you can clearly see when it's shooting HE.

This is completely off topic though. please don't derail the thread.

Don't you think some things should be left to chance? It's kind of the whole basis of why CoH and EIRR are so appealing. There is no flat out RPS system, compared to games like Starcraft. It's enough to know a Pershing is coming at you, it's not necessary to know whether it has HVAP or HE. Same with grens, if you see a Terror player that is lvl 8, you can presume he either has a KT or marksman, and can prepare to face both, much like you would tailor your company to any other player with any other doctrine.

Do you see riflemen with sticky icons above their head? Recons have the icon above their head to show that they have a great sight range and act as spotters, grens just have that single one shot kill (with shorter range than recons, by the way).

People wake up. Marksman shoot is combat ability, so it is much better on more powerfull unit than on scouting unit with very low combat performance. You rarely buy recons for combat (unless spam), you buy them for scouting or sniper hunting.

Although terror grens are mainline infantry with high combat prowess and survivability and are usually bought in bulk. With rather cheap marksman shoot they become uber recon tommies with a bit less sight... and cheaper muni-wise... and cheaper in infantry pop value.

I am not sure how much marksman shoot should cost on grens but 35 is really too cheap... be honest to yourself. Because currently it is no brainz upgrade, esspecialy when so cheap.

Allied squads are larger. Therefore it is more effective against axis targets, it hurts bad to lose a man in an axis squad. Do not forget that tommies have 1 extra man, which increases the lifespan of the ability drastically since that last guy can still snipe his target and has all the benefits from the recon tommy upgrade, the combat part of the ability doesn't even suffer any kind of damage decrease.

You can snipe and spot and detect with a 1 man squad just as well as with a full 5 man tommy. He, and the squad in general, also have longer range along with more sight and detection, making him an effective sniper hunter.

Exactly, and Grenadiers can do neither of these things with this upgrade (no detection and less members).

They do not become recon tommies, and (especially) not 'uber' ones. The definition of Uber recon tommies would suggest that they would have even more sight and detection. As said before Grenadiers don't get either of those things, making them worse 'recon tommies', if at all.

That is why i dont like to discuss in forums... Some people just dont see the world my way Grin Icant stand it. Anyway I think in the longer run after more people play terror we will see price increase. Some cases just need more testing.

Before you could have a grenadier squad with both lmg and marksmen shot, is this still possible?
