Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

OK I had to open a ticket with activestate to sort out a bug that I found with converting perl scripts to Windows executables for a new module that I needed to update the script.

I expect to hammer out that snafu soon and push out an update hopefully today.  It should be more cunning about determining what the current OS that is running even if you have a dual(or tri or quad for that matter) boot.  It will still have the logic to look on each drive for where you installed CoH and run from there.

Hopefully this will fix your particular issue, if not give us some more detailed logs about why its getting confused for your situation.

OK a tad late but I think I managed to sort it out.

This new version (2.3) is a bit smarter about looking at the various available hard drives (it ignores all non-physical drives and/or CDs or Floppies).  It also is smarter about detecting what OS is currently running rather then just relying on local queue for hints.  Updating the main link....

This new version is not compatible with Windows 7, I never tried the older one, so I don't know about that, but this one isn't for me anyway.

This tool IS compatable with Windows 7.  I actually both developed (partially) and tested this tool on Windows 7 and on Windows XP.

There are possible security allowances that you have to grant the tool.  I know my AV didn't like this tool when I first ran it and I had to add an exception to my AV rules to allow it.  If you are worried about the tool (being partially paranoid myself I understand), I included the source perl code.  You can examine the code yourself and even run it with a perl interpreter if you download it (from Activestate for example).

Ahhhh I see... You are using 32 bit Windows 7.  And I just discovered my new development platform makes 64bit applications by default.  So need to set to make 32 bit apps by default then all should be good.

I recompiled the tool for 32 bit and remembered to add an icon (woo!).

I updated the link.  Give that guy a try.

You learn by doing.  Seriously.. its just a matter of finding something that you want to do and figuring it out.  As for perl its a great way to do a lot of things.

Its also a great way to yank your eyeballs out to learn as a coding language.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Hey!  If your eyes are not bleeding a little when you code you aren't doing it right!

Yeah I would love to store this on a stable location.  But I do not even own a static IP address...

Updated the link on the front page for now.
