ok,so it's quite obvious that green cover is better than light, and house is better than green(I think?) ...but what are the actual bonuses that you get in those covers?

house? its called Garrison. It's Light, Heavy, Garrison, not light green house :|

but you have to look up the actual stats because its different vs different type of weapons. I'm not trying to be lazy but to list it would take forever.

http://picly.us/coh/Weapon_Contents.html

But to simplify
vs guns garrison
vs tank fire heavy
vs artillery garrison

Squads in Heavy cover(green) will actually win out over squads in Garrison cover(house).

Garrison cover usually provides less received Accuracy while Heavy cover provides less Received damage, and weapons with junk Penetration will have a harder time damaging units inside Garrison buildings. This is partly why the .30cal beats an MG42 when Garrisoned(the type of Structure matters- Stone is stronger then wood)

A good rule of thumb is that Garrison is the best cover type overall. However if given the choice infantry last longer against tanks in Heavy cover(especially Axis infantry)

Garrison units also provide 55 sight, which goes a long way too.

Garrison also increases accuracy of the units inside, plus you can't get suppressed inside. The reason that heavy cover usually beats garrison is because more people can fire in than out of the windows. So there are advantages and disadvantages with both types.

Yeah you can if the suppression is strong enough or if there's one guy who was dumb enough to stick his foot out out cover.

Going off of absolutely no idea of any doctrinal buffs in this mod. If you are standing behind a stone wall and BAR SF is activated you won't get suppressed.

However if my memory serves me correctly because heavy cover grants both a bonus and shot blocking the bonus effects would effect every man regardless of his individual position.  What would be lost on a per man basis would be the shot blocking.

wrong bodybag. it relies on the individual position of each mans. if even one man is out of heavy cover, the whole squad will get surpressed.

Leophone did an interesting test video that illrustrates how CoH suppression works when green cover is involved.

Pretty much, as long as one dude is outside heavy cover, that unit can be suppressed.

yeah that video showed that units in green cover won't be suppressed by a single hmg.
but the engis with their vcoh suppression resistance still got suppressed.
So if you get like 10 hmgs shooting at a riflesquad in green cover they will still get suppressed.

Don't forget them covering fire's! 1 covering fire from a fallschirm is usually enough to suppress someone in heavy cover.

I think a compilation of videos like this could be put into a thread mentioning advanced tactics for EIR Wink

Peoples skill in COH certainly raise after playing this mod (or so I hear).

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.
