I bought the game when it first came out(took part in the beta). Played for a few months. Never bothered paying the monthly sub to play clan matches. Ended up sticking with bc2 and tf2.

I still get a lot of emails talking about updates, but never really read them. If world conquest is free now, i may pick it up.

What major changes have they made since may '10?

Most MMOs are now F2P, WoW is pretty much the only one who sticks to monthly subscriptions. The concept is very simple, it attracts a lot of new players and when they've gotten to a certain point in the game they are forced to pay to get anywhere, by that point the players are enough sucked in to throw away all of their hard earned cash.

FYI This game is shit. Just played it for a few hours and was like... Where'd my quest line go. Turns out the Quest stuff was added in post release just as a starter tool. The entirety of the game is based around PvE Missions(stupid simple) and PvP(which actually isn't bad but you might as well play CoD or Battlefield)

You need a paid account to do almost anything of worth.(including loot rolls, Auction house[bidding and selling])


So if you just want a PvP game that will chew through time knock yourself out.


In All honesty Pirates of the Burning Sea was a way better Free to Play game
