Puma 50mm has same accuracy against infantry as the 2cm does, so it does snipy snipe infantry

tbh I think that 9 camo detection is a bug.
well it's on coh stats, lets see if its in the rgds... (looking) ok it seems not to be in the rgds, so i was wrong there.

It has a 0.5 acc modifier vs all inf but has 0.75 acc at long range instead of 0.5 acc at long the 20mm has. Not very efficient at sniping.

Doesnt matter if accuracy is the same though right? The 20mm will be dealing higer dps towards inf anyway because it will shooting faster so it matters less if it misses. Plus if you're trying to use 50mm against inf, youre doing it wrong…

Phase armour may have been a bug in vcoh, but in eir it serves a very important role, so it's fine to stay.

up-gun puma needs to be better, it's supposed to be a counter to m8s and infantry, a better version of the 2cm so that you can chose between a slow but tough tank destroyer (stug) or fast moving vechicle and infantry counter, but it underperforms at both these roles.

If blitz heat rounds buffed the upgun puma that would be good.
Also ATM I can get more Inf kills with a upgun puma faster than with the 2cm puma.

No, that's just luck, their killing power is about the same. Stug is better in EIR because of the upgrades, but the puma, the supposedly best ac in ww2 needs a buff. It doesn't even have to do better against infantry just increase the damage it does to other vehicles. It hurts my eyes to see bren carriers or m8s kill upgun pumas, those are anti infantry platforms!

The puma was actually one of the WORST ACs in WW2 - it's high profile meant it was shit at it's designated scouting role, and it's poor armament and armour meant it was crap at fighting as well.
Oh, and realism arguments are shit. And M8s aren't a pure anti-infantry platform. It is a light vehicle with anti-infantry and light AT capability(hence, as expected - useful vs vehicles). Bren carriers are a soft light-vehicle counter with AP rounds (due to being on a cooldown).

Think it's a vCoH change that they did and it made it's way into EiRR. No concievable reason why it was done IMO, though .

That makes no sense. even if the changed it in vcoh there is absolutely 0 reason for us to do it since we also already changed it's armor type from stuart to m8.

which is probably why tet's get raped.
I wonder how game play would be if everything had phase armor. you either roll a hit or not at all. RR's would probably become obsolete.
another interesting thought. What if everything was ballistic and there were no chance to roll hits but only be hit like a piat or stuh firing, no saying it has to be arc'd like that but more in tune that you either get hit or u dont

Just because gameplay comes before realism doesn't mean that it's ok for everything to be the opposite of what they seem or were in reality, if I buy a tiger I expect it to be able to kill tanks better than a motorcycle can. It's the same thing with Puma, it's not supposed to be useless at everything it does. The m8 is about the same cost and it's better at everything, it has better armor, heavy mines and more firepower, I don't mind that the m8 is this good but it would be nice if the upgun could actually be used to counter it. And where do you get this information about the puma? Because in every book I read about german ww2 vehicles it states something along the lines of: "With its advanced technical specification the Sd.Kfz 234/2 Puma was considered to be the best armored car of WWII." And pretty much every information on the internet I can find about this vehicle states the exact same thing.

Look again, the greyhound costs quite a bit more than the puma - particularly in fuel. Also in munitions, if you want to have reliable anti-infantry or the mines.
Puma upgun is a perfectly fine unit. Love to use them vs Fireflies in particular.
