As of last month I hadn't used more than one BAR squad in an American company for a year and a half. I find blank rifles to be heaps more cost effective, they actually rape with the + acc buffs in green cover and the hordes of - rec acc buffs in every doctrine.

It's a preference, I find people either prefer to run hordes of BAR's whereas others just don't prefer any at all!

I have 50/50 tbh, half inf have them half do not, its just a choice that is always good to have around, if i can suppress the inf then thats great, and they do more dps which is helpfull AND they have a psychological effect in making other players play more defensively with there own inf when they see bars in cover ^^

I dont have BARspam, nor do I have no BARs. 4 platoons of 3 rifles; 1x BAR+stick, 2x zook (yes, I'm using TR).

My mumbo jumbo @ the ami officer is because it's an unused vcoh unit, which was named 'Command Squad', and I beleive that the name came with it to EiR; the names I put up were some that I thougt'd be more fitting; Company/Platoon Commander, Infantry Captain, something like that.

ONTOPIC to the defensive officer again lads. We're off into another BAR argument, leave it for Leutnant Gotleib.

No, we used to have a 1-man squad called "American Officer" or something, I don't remember why it was changed.

Back to topic: How is the mp40 a downgrade from the luger? The luger is not very powerful anymore, I never get any kills with it. I don't want to see rambo officers but it would be nice if it at least looked like they were contributing by bringing a smg.

Luger has a 10% chance to cause instant death on any allied soldier. 1 MP40 is a joke in comparison, it's not gonna do anything.

Not a bad idea, you could change it thou to bigger magazine, or a Walther P-38 Handgun wich coul be fitted with a elongated mag, giving it automatic fire? or just decrease reload time for the officer?
