Well recently I came across this little indie gem on Steam thanks to the reccomendation of a friend. Basically, this game is a zombie apocalypse "sim" (and I use the term very lightly) featuring a Risk-style world map. The object of the game is to invade infected terrirtories, where you must rescue survivors from the zombies before they're all killed in an isometric 2D city. You accomplish your goal with mercenaries of varying types, from demolitions (which can destroy parts of the city and open up areas) to artillery to sniper teams to ground troops. This game, however, is ridiculously hard in that when a survivor is taken by a zombie, he immediately joins the ranks of the walking dead. Now imagine a single zombie touching just one survivor in your group waiting for rescue... the infection travels down the line, and you're screwed.

The overarching objective is to get more Victory Points than the zombies. You get Victory Points for rescuing large amounts of survivors (multiplied in highly infected areas) and you get 20 at the end of each turn for every "purified" territory (a territory free of zombies). Just like in a real apocalypse, the zombies spread like wildfire on the map, and soon you'll be juggling dozens of infected territories. The difficulty of thegame is only upped by the fact that you can only bring a randomly selected loadout of mercenaries per mission, which can limit your tactical prowess somewhat.

Despite all this, Atom Zombie Smasher is incredibly fun and addicting. The rush you get when you successfully pull off a rescue mission is so satisying. As I type this now, in fact, I'm in the middle of a campaign. The game also has many different modifiers you can apply to the campaign to make it more fun or even more challenging (if you dare!). I really can't explain all of it in one go, but it's really in-depth and extremely fun, and the best part is it's only $9.99 on Steam! If you have a Steam account, there's also a free demo, so you owe it to yourself to at least try it! Here's the store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/55040/?snr=1_4_4__13

That's odd, and I don't think that's the inspiration for the title, but who knows, these developers have an odd sense of humour!

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Thanks for keeping it on-topic Iceland.

Regardless, this game has made me crave some good surf guitar. Listening to Dick Dale's "Misirlou" while playing fits almost too well.

Watching Icelandic be completely oblivious to nuances and idioms in the English language has become a new pastime for me Tongue

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.
