Monty was better than both of them. Paris in less than 90 days, Genius.

Monty?
I'm thinking of Monty's inability to destroy German divisions without letting them withdraw. Sure, risks aren't exactly safe, but to be so cautionary...And Market-Garden, Montgomery's boldest venture, was a disaster.
Eisenhower's "broad front" strategy...not that good of an idea. It basically allowed beaten German divisions to regroup and set up defenses. And, of course, diverted fuel to unnecessary areas of the conflict, which led to the stalling of the offensive, which allowed the Ardennes Offensive...
Eisenhower's greatest strength wasn't in operational, strategical, or tactical experience. His greatest strength was charisma; he managed to get along with practically everybody, which was an immense help when dealing with conflicting generals.

Monty was also under pressure to do something to gain Ikes support. Thus he did Market Garden, the problem with Market Garden was he didn't get ikes full support with that, ie more tanks and men. Ike also gave Berlin to the Russians, and look what happen to Europe after that
