In these mmorpg games whats the difference in DPS between a tank and a melee DPS character.
Like in general I know it may vary on the game, but around -20% dps? -50% dps?
Also it sounds like my class also is capable of buffing the peoples around me too.

Well I mean that's really hard to define, you get different types of tanks, take Empire in ToR for example, you can have the Juggernaut as a DPS/Tank, or outright Tank, and then it gets varying buffs depending on what abilities you use etc. But then you also get the Sith Inquisitor that can also fill the role of a Tank, depending on what you choose. I don't know some Tanks can deflect huge amounts of damage if they are like, pure Tank, but if you take a hybrid Tank class then not as much but still a huge amount.

Puddin' spamtmi cant really blame smokaz i mean playing against puddin is like trying to fight off breast cancer. You might win and do it and be a bad ass but you'll feel sick and mutilated forever.
Puddin' spamtm is soulcrushing... what's hard to understand about that?

For anyone who does pre-order, it looks like you have to do it via a special program Bioware are setting up if you want your guild to be imported, so don't pre-order it from anywhere else |

I watched the first star wars today. This subject reminded of one of my major annoyances.
It still irks me. How Obi wan says:
"Strike me down and I shall become more powerful than you could ever imagine"
Its a shame the fact that unlike other jedi knights dying in ALL the other movies
does not die like him, nor is it explained what he meant, or the character of why he "vanishes" upon Vader striking him down

I thought it was really obvious? He couldn't become a crutch for which Luke can rely on him to do the dirty work, and being a spiritual advisor and being at the end of his life, he chose to become one with the force in order to facilitate that.
Also, not everyone can become a 'ghost', it takes a very great jedi to do that, and happens plenty of times in the Expanded Universe, which is cannon. The movies cover a very brief and limited section of the universe.
And lastly, many of the Jedi's who died in 'combat' are not masters but merely Jedi Knights of Anakin's/Luke Skywalker's rank. In the movies, two great Jedi Masters passed away and they became ghosts: Yoda and Obi-wan.

Its canon, referenced from the books and encyclopedia (which you can't post online). Also, a lot of the games at Canon if they were blessed by Lucas Arts (SWTOR had all its events and characters run by George Lucas because they need to establish canon, as well as Kyle Katan (sp?) being a canon character from the games).
