the problem i find as a noob playin this mod is that the older players got more vet(due to more battles) & upgraded units (due to ability & resource bonus). this really fucked up the noob. theres basically no way a noob can beat pros. but wt if noobs get a manpower bonus but this decrease with the no of battle played (as the player get more used to the game). This also simulate the way that usually elite division ar usually understrength due to constant combat. This way noobs can at least use their slight numerical advantage to beat pro players uberelite troops. I also suggest that noob should get resupply every game for the first couple of games with lower quality troops whereas pro players get few resupply but with better quailty (eg 1 vet). this also simulate that elite troops ar more slowly reinforced due to longer&superior trainings.

Good idea but how are you going to distinguish between 'noobs' and 'pros'.

Hmm. I've had a thought, though it might be too complicated. What if you make a player's 'skill' or 'power' level something to do with their combination of elite troops and CPs?

So elite troops reduce the amount of resources you get overall (since more are needed to get replacements up to scratch) and so do CPs (they need constant resource income to keep functioning).

But you'd need a calculation to work that out, I don't know how hard that might be.

How do you mean? Do you mean the more resources a player has, the less they get with each resupply?

I don't mean that skilled players get less CPs, I mean that players with more CPs get less resources.

i was thinkin to define an elite company by the number of vet unit (eg >50% vet2). maybe even divide the company into 3 types of eliteness (eg Green, Battleharden & Elite). once the company has certain experience, its upgrade a level. However, even if the whole company is wiped out it still retain its status as elite. Green company get more manpower & more frequent resupply but less fuel & munition overall whereas elite company get less manpower & resupply but more fuel & munition & maybe get vet1 reinforcement or something like that.

theres one idea im not sure about is that whether noobs should get extra equipment as well (eg maybe get 1 or 2 more MP40). This could simulate how in german army weaker troop get better equipments (MP44) to compensate their weakness. However, i think many people would hate this idea.

This is broken, me thinks.

You are saying that you want to give an elite unit less resources, and a not-elite unit more?  Fine, but just think what happens when the green company comes up against the elite one?

The elite company is elite for a reason, and he will sit back and pummel you with all his vet upgrades, making his K/D ratio sky-rocket, and pounding your company back into the dust from whence it came.

a lot of the times I win my games against noobs due to actual tactics, you people forget the fact that they can field the same amount as me at the same time.  having more in your company just means there is more vet for me to get off killing them.

They need to learn to play and maintain their army and succeed rather then have MORE army, because ultimately if I crush you in 1 push i'll likely do it again in 3 or 4 more if I need too..

of course giving the noobs more manpower and ammo or something might give them more means to maintain that learning curve, and faster resupplies for them MIGHT be a great idea, they do get trounced pretty badly..  first 10 games instantly resupply?

I wouldn't put any restrictions on the other players above what the system already implies, becuase you'll find yourself in that situation soon enough... and honestly no one will take restrictions just to give someone else a bonus sitting down.

Do we need an EiR tutorial?  We could even just extract the CoH tutorial and modify it, save us from starting from scratch.

i have a feeling that a lot of the new player on this mod are new to COH since if you can play Vcoh fine then once you get the platoon stuff you will be fine here.

Needs more players like me how do a explaing round with the noobs...
I:

---Tell them waht they do "wrong"
---Waht i do, why i do it and how i do it
---Waht they lack (Baisc inf./at)
---To not play with noobbashers like tkaudi, marine, arakandas and unk0wen.
---To keep playing because they win even if they lose

Those newb matches can take 50 of 60 mins because i just dont use more troops than needed and generally dont lose a singel squad completly besides the useall 2-3 volks.
