I have decided that playing my armor company is to difficult to get a fair game with, fair in the eyes of other people.

axis aren't use to the heavy tanks, and it strikes fear into their minds uncontrollably, specially when you have vet 3 m10s and vet 2 pershings with vet 2-3 calliopes.. people just ... don't want to fight it Smiley

and so.. i might just swap into the full axis side, means i won't get to play with my good friends nevyen and migi on the same side, but we'll see what happens.

mm defensive with rocket artillery, i'll strike fear into your hearts.. watch people not play me then, due to my 'i kill your vet 3 guy with my eyes closed button of death'... buggers ..!

I'm also facing the same situation with my Airborne Company. No one wants to play against me when my vet 3 Airborne destroy countless Axis squads. Sad

Oooo suprise suprise?

Like i sayed:

If you keep playing like that (fireup following retreating troops. cheap tactics) noone will play with you.

We need 2 seperate teamspeak channels one: For fun Wink  and the "Ilivetowin -_-" channel

No one like to lose. People are just too competitive in EIR.

For instance, note that Thtb says that Fire-Up chasing retreating squads is "cheap". Then, note that he refuses to state anything about storm shrekking tanks. Yay unwarranted pro-axis bias...at least argue or something (I have nothing against bias. I hate irrelevant, stupid statements. I have enough of that on Relic Forums).

Seriously.

On another note, how many nonretired Axis players have T4 abilities?

the tier 4's balance out the vet levels of other armies, i just wish we could gain the tier 4 faster as starting armies, specially for going on a losing streak.

and akranadas i'll gladly fight you anytime, if we could only get our lag issues to correct themselfs, im still thinking its YOU that lags i never lag with ANYONE else Smiley

blame blame blame .. lol

anyways, tier 4 axis? not many of us...

Well, I'm going to miss those Pershings now that you'll be staring up at the barrel of my ATGs. I hope you bought Panthers because it's always Panther hunting season for me.

hell no minehold, i'll gladly destroy your pershings when i see them (i've killed 5 so far the last week and a bit.. ) i don't know why people cry about em, its just psychological..

you still need to play good to keep them alive ... and I think i should be able to play better to kill them Smiley

By now, shouldn't a lot of the other players also have kickass veteran companies?

Obviousl new players are and will always be the exception, try to give them a fair chance and if possible allow them to match up with others on their level of play.

The thing with my Companies is that I've played 40 games to get those weak Airborne to be super kick ass. I wouldn't scrap my companies ever, because it was just too much work to get them up to this point. They are still  beatable, and a lot of luck happens for the Axis plauers 80% of the time (Airborne drifting into HMGs ><)

I'll possibly make another Allied account and test out some different things to keep it fair between the newer and older.

Also, thtb. I'll only chase down high veteran troops; like vet 2 or more, because I know their valuable.

So... what is the difference from chasing down retreating infantry squads and chasing down damaged tanks? Hrmmm?!

Units retreating gain both a speed bonus (which is faster than Fire Up as well as a defensive bonus - 50% Received Accuracy Reduction), so it's fairly hard to kill squads retreating, as many players would have found out when they've tried to kill some of my Vet 3 Airborne.

Fun, is a state of mind, fun for one person is different from another person. I for one, have fun whether I win or lose; I have a great time discussing the game after we've finished with everyone; highlighting the coolest moments.

Be that, killing that one retreating guy or blowing up a Panther with a Demo charge. To me, it seems that you don't have fun playing this game if your so worried about veteran troops. Sure, I love my Vet Airborne and hate it when one dies, but I generally don't get upset by it and call someone lame for chasing them down. I'll laugh about it with them after the match; "How hard did you have to try to kill that one vet 3 Airborne guy! He almost made it home too Sad

Thtb how can you complain about people trying to kill squads, i've watched you manuever units into retreat paths, lots of us do it. If for no other reason than it drives them to retreat sooner rather than fight a bit longer to save their units.

Anyhow i don't think you should retire your Armor Company Salan, its fun to play against those powerful armies - i'll take you or Marine 1v1 anyday, it's not likely i'll win but i'll do it, same goes for Akranadas, though i rarely see him. The only thing i don't like about those pershings is the repair abilities that go along with them - i haven't seen armor without some of the repair abilities and i haven't figured out how to kill off those tanks after i drive them back - sending in my armor is somewhat akin to suicide.... perhaps when my blitz armor company is ready..... Anyhow! Don't retire, keep playing, its what gives us newbies something to work towards (us newbies with T4's just have to figure out how to play better =D)
