I put it in the .module first. If 80% of the community wants it (I loled at made up statistics) I'm sure they can manually download and put it in the proper folder. When it gets a few playthroughs and you all still feel like it's a good map, I'll throw it in the autoupdater.

Why not take out the 50% of maps in eir that are pretty much un-playable based on how bad they are? That way we can just add in deadbolts map and not to actually waste the communities time in manually downloading this?

Which maps are those? When I try cutting maps there's always QQ and I end up cutting much less than I wanted to.
Also, what is the 'waste of time' exactly? You have to click a link and download it in a folder, done. How is that even remotely 'wasting time'? It's probably faster than the autoupdater too.

There is a reason this called autoupdater, so we as the community dont have to manually do shit ourselves. Why dont we just start coding everything ourselves how about placing every single new patch in ourselves. Why even bother having an autoupdater if your not gonna use it?
Put this map in because so far tons of people want it, it looks nice and im sure the pathing is great, I dont have to be einstien to realize Keeps knows what hes doing.
Cut tons of the maps that noone plays, im sure there is a way you can find out how many times a map is played?

Yeah the only way to test it is if you put it in autoupdater. Manually adding a map is too much struggle. You tell everyone to get the map and then two hours later when you're gonna play 90% of the players didn't get it.

cos this community is full of lazy nigguhs that cant hit a download link in a forum. i tried it the other day and no one wanted to make the effort, bar icelandic who tried to get people in. |
