assualt gun that dies as easily as TD,usually frontal assualt with stug leads to very quick dead stug.

It fails at that role as well, 2 57mm shots cripple it.

Why even use it if it isn't that good of AI, and fails at AT? Use a P4 and get more mileage, or better yet Panthers or Tigers.

45 would be ok for stug


m10/m18 do more damage , got turret , 45 range, more speed, more accel  and cost 40 more fu.

45 is fine for the STuG, as seen with old Improved Barrels. It however did break the P4 having that range bonus =)

And Bigdick, it's cheap, till you upgrade it.

i never got why people buy skirts on stug or panther.....and even on P4 they are only useful since they don't waste 60mun anymore if you have enough fuel available

the only upgrades stugs need is repair and mg
that mg is good but expensive yes but the repair is cheap and the stug itsself is cheap too

Why not buy skirts for fuel ?  it gives you 10% rec damage from tanks and  25% pen/dmg from handheld

because you hardly fight tanks with a stug and you use it only for some mobile suppression

ok its "only" 25fuel (didnt used a stug since skirt change) now so it may be considered as an upgrade but when it was 50 mun or something it was a complete waste

Thank you for pointing out why the STuG sucks.

Only useful as mobile suppression, yet it gets damage bonuses vs tanks.

its support if you want to fight tanks with stugs get 2 on the field at same time

stug is like riflemen ... no expensive elite unit, no specialized unit but very cheap and versatile

and the massive dmg modifiers of stug vs sherman are just a boni and are from vcoh to make the stug the T3 AT counter vs US T3.5 Shermans/croc while m10 is the us T3.5 counter vs stugs and pumas

If you want to fight tanks and bring 2 STuGs, bring a Panther, it kills infantry and tanks and costs less pop than 2 STuGs. Oh, and has much better range.

it costs hardly less pop (only 2 less pop) than 2 stugs and it sucks vs inf compared to 2 stugs with mg and its 50% more in fuel than 2 stugs

2 Pop allows you a lot of flexibility, thats the difference between 2 Grens or 1 Gren callin.

The STuG cannot deal with light vehicles, the Panther can, both can kill infantry, one has longer range. 3 Panthers with 2 repairs each are much better than a few STuGs.

Panther beats the 2 m10s with only around 20% hp left usually only when micro'd intensely.

Either way it still cost alot more. And nomatter how you put it, stug much superior to panther AI, stug can actualy surpress the target, and has superior acc against moving infantry, and it actually has some splash.

And 2 stugs give more firepower than your 1 panther.

no but a stug and a shrek squad (13pop) could win vs 2m10 (20pop) when the m10s wouldn't be so retarded good in crushing infantry

but a stug and 2 shrek squads (18 pop) would probably win vs 2 m10s (20pop)

but as i said the stug is no tankdestroyer and especially not made to fight tankdestroyers

2 stugs can win 2 M10s. Requires a lot of micro and a bit of luck, though.
