Here's what you do if you have the serial key issue: go into the game and at the title screen there will be a button that says LIVE. Make sure you are logged in to the gamertag you want to use to play. Once in the LIVE tab with your gamertag logged in, go to the marketplace option. Find AoE and "purchase" it (it will be free). You should now no longer have the serial key issue.

That's just what I've heard though. I've also heard typing a random combination of characters into the serial key box will also dismiss it.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

It's more like AoE 2 in all honesty. It's not the game itself that makes it imbalanced though, it's the fact that in PvP, free-to-plaayers have a severe disadvantage. Premium players can purchase and equip Epic gear, which is vastly superior to all other types of gear, and they can also use advisors which grant them special units that free-to-players can't access. For $20 though, I think that buying premium if you like the game is perfectly reasonable.

I dispise cheat codes in all forms.

It shows lack of skill / ability to find exploits (lol)

And before Smokaz pipes up, RAGE buttons that bring on 10 JTs and 10 KTs is NOT cheating.... Its a rage button.

"No sir, It is not a cheat because I made it myself, it's a feature!!!"

Also, you sir have not seen the joy that AoE1 becomes when you put on the combination of infinite resources for everything and instant build cheat...

If you place units outside their town center and kill the workers the AI will create them at 50man a second to be mowed down equally fast, it was fun for a few hours back when I was... must have been 2nd or 3rd grade of elementary school... man that was long ago...

The hell are you talking about? AoM came with 3 "real" major Norse Gods, two of which being the ones you claimed to have added in...

Back on topic, I bought the Greeks civilization and I'm loving the game so far, brought me back to my days of playing Age of Mythology nonstop... I actually think I'll go reinstall it now.

Get what the hell Iam talking about is i put them Thor ,Odin, Beowulf into the game so I could use them in battle ....

Yeah I didnt myself, but I think its because I was playing it on a CRT at the time, and everything looked REALLY HUGE.

Gameplay wise, I think it was ok.

Personally, I REALLY like AoM, but I liked Empire earth much more.  EE2 was... well a bit too clunky, but the game was kinda cool.  If EE2 up was more polished, it would be awesome (going from Stoneage to Tech ages was a cool COOL idea imo)

Yeah, I loved AOM. It was less well balanced than the other ones, but so much more fun. I really liked how different the civilizations were. The scenario possibilities were also really cool.
