• Chang’an — While this Chinese automaker, also known as Chana Auto, is not a start-up, it faces an almost vertical climb in European markets. The company, a subsidiary of the China Weaponry Equipment Corporation, tried unsuccessfully to interest the 2009 Frankfurt crowd in its BenBen econobox. It is returning with hopes that a variation of its C201 sedan won’t suffer a similar fate. The company has recently opened a research center in England and is hiring European auto veterans. Still, European resistance to Chinese auto offerings seems to have only hardened since the stillborn efforts of Brilliance to crack the market. That brand withdrew after a German auto club crash-tested one of its cars and gave it a rating of zero stars.
• Mia Electric — The pitch here is for a “100 percent electric, 100 percent real” vehicle described in the marketing literature as a “Simple. Micro. Bus.” Does the “Microbus” concept ring a bell? Murat Gunak, who preceded Walter de’Silva as the VW Group’s design chief, is described by Mia Electric as its head of corporate strategy. Judging by the French-German company’s first product, Mr. Gunak may still harbor an unrequited longing to build something like the much-admired but never green-lighted Volkswagen Microbus concept of 2001, which was designed on his watch.
• German e-Cars — Two years ago, Germany’s Fräger Group, moncler, a longtime European auto industry supplier, tried to rebadge Chang’an BenBens (see above) and market them as “Benni” electric vehicles. The idea was to take advantage of German government financial incentives offered for E.V.’s, but the venture, which aspired to yearly sales in excess of 1,000 cars, did not take off. At least part of the problem was attributable to pricing; e-Cars, a Fräger affiliate, moncler, planned to ask $44,doudoune moncler pas cher,000 for the microcars. Nevertheless, the company is back this year with a new car, the Stromos, based on a Suzuki Splash: a platform, the company says, that is “tried and tested.” Take that, BenBen.
• Yo-Auto — This is a Russian company that plans to manufacture a line of what it calls “Yo-Mobiles.” The lozenge-shaped Yo-Concept to be introduced at Frankfurt is suggestive of a trio of hybrid vehicles that the company says is in development. Ground was broken in June for the brand’s new plant in St. Petersburg. Yo Auto, which is also represented as Yo Avto, is reportedly taking preorders for a coupe, hatchback and truck — the Yo CrossCoupe, Yo Microvan and Yo Furgon, respectively. The Yo-Concept is not among them; it is merely meant as a design study to excite potential customers.
• Dok-Ing Automotiv — Another entry from Croatia’s burgeoning auto industry, this small Zagreb company is known for building armored robotic vehicles for disarming explosive devices. At Frankfurt, polo ralph lauren uomo, it plans to offer the XD, an updated version of an E.V. prototype shown this year at Geneva. Unlike Dok-Ing’s current line of vehicles, it would not be warranted against detonating land mines.
More than 50 automakers will introduce new vehicles during the press preview at the Frankfurt auto show on Sept. 13. Among them will be the world’s largest manufacturers — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford and so on — but so will a few hopeful start-ups. Here is a roundup of what some of these auto industry Davids are offering, in the shadows of the Goliaths:
• Eterniti Motors — This British-based newcomer boasts of having Alastair Macqueen, a former Jaguar and Bentley engineer, and Johnny Herbert, the retired Formula One and Le Mans driver, on its development team. Eterniti says it plans to introduce a “super S.U.V.” at Frankfurt. Reports suggest the luxury ute, called the Hemera, moncler jacken, is based on the Porsche Cayenne. The thinking here is that no S.U.V.’s on the market are posh enough; the Hemera would compete against other high-end S.U.V.’s that are being discussed like the Spyker D12, the Aston Martin Lagonda, the Jeep Grand Cherokee-based Maserati S.U.V., the Bentley S.U.V. and the Range Rover-based Bowler.

He made a funny thread for bear, and got banned.

Now bear makes his own funny thread. It's unsurprisingly not funny.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.
