dunno if u remember the old graveyard part deux map i was workin on but i cba with at anymore so i decided to take the middle from it and revamp it lul, havent tiled it yet and obviously still needs plenty of work. but you'll get the idea of the map from the screens:

Too much Height mapping is bad, not enough is bland.

Crossroads is a nice map visually but in order to win on that map you need to be aware of what your weapons can do around the terrain and heights

i think adding alot of height map creates new ways to play maps, but it can also create side advantages.

It's only in the woods that there's a significant height variation, and once you make it up the rise, it's not really that bad. Radar station, on the other hand, can be a serious pain...

I had an unfinished map that had a trench system and gunpits for 88's/ATG's in it. While the Height of a trench that allows troops to see over it(purely visual of course) also allows 88's to fire over, ATG's are not so lucky. Anytime they rolled a miss they would just trash some dirt infront of them. Made for a junk defensive position. Alot of ATG hits are actually scattered misses. The two ways I was able to work around that was either raise the Gun pit so the ATG could fire over(ugly, but practicle) or to remove terrain from certain areas in the pits, which while limiting the ATG's effective arc allowed the terrain to absorb scattered miss enemy AT fire which was nice.

ill add height mapping but it will only subtle under the forest trees and ditches etc, its easier with farms cos u can just imagine rolling hills.
