I certainly hope it doesn't suck. Trailer looks promising... but that is the trailers job after all.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

There are very few GOOD WW2 movies. The only few that come to mind are Das Boot, Bridge to Far, Longest Day, and Downfall.

If you like alternate history style WW2 movies, 'The Eagle Has Landed' is good. Book was good too, but we're talking about movies here. It depicts a team of German paratroopers disguised as Free Polish commandos on a secret mission to kill Winston Churchill. It has Michael Caine and Robert Duvall in it which only makes it that much better.

There is a really good Russian war movie about Afghanistan, that is all in Russian so you would need subs. I forget what it is called. Cross of Iron is good, Stalingrad is good, I had a bunch of ww2 movies but somehow they got deleted it seems.

I love Stalingrad, first movie I ever saw from the Germans perspective. My list looks a little something like this.

movies to see:
big red 1
saving private ryan
stalingrad
band of brothers
when trumpets fade
the pacific
the longest day
the pianist
life is beautiful (well it isn't really a WWII movie per say, but it's got a tank in it!)
a bridge too far
bridge to remagen

jeez i know there's more that i have seen, but i didnt realize the list would grow so fast  Grin
anyone know what movies are on streaming on netflix?

Don't bother watching:
Pearl Harbour
if i remember right windtalkers was pretty bad too

a notable movie, that's about the korean war is Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War

I would have put The Pianist in my list, but I always considered it a holocaust movie rather than a WW2 movie. Schindler's List I can't stand. It feels preachy.

I am shamed to have forgotten Empire of the Sun. That movie is god damn fantastic.

The Beast is another movie I would have added if it were a WW2 movie. But it's about Afghanistan.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.
