Between assault grnades and repair bunkers run rampant and just general play styles revoling around exploits of one units price and effectivness it has made the game not fun at all. I dont really see much hope for future versions as decisions will continue to be made by people who dont even play and dont see it being done.

Not even looking at the exploits, supurior axis infantry is now cheaper than inferior allied infantry, axis tank have become in some ways inferior to allied armor with the the Armor doctorine.

Ive deleted my profile, I wont be back was fun playing with some of you, have fun.

he's a stubborn one, i kinda doubt he'll be back Smiley

sigh, all the good allies are leaving now.. can we just end the war and get the next phase going that could actually fix some of these issues instead of struggling to maintain status quo while waiting Smiley

What issues are you talking about?

We promised we'd run untill the war ends Wink.
In addition there's a new version coming (1.9) at the start of the next war I'm sure.

This shouldn't mean there won't be any balance changes for the remaining duration of the war though.

Wow. I threw an assault grenade at his airborne squad and then he just left...
Before that he killed 4 of my vet Gren Squads in 1 strafing run...

balance of this game is pretty good. each side has good point and weak point same for doctrine.

Saying that everything of the opponent is unbalance  , might be a skill problem Tongue

My doctrine Defensive  is very Weak ( t4 what i have)  at 1v1 but good at team game's.

Allies is based around spam. The ability to shit units and let them run rampant. What's stupid is the fact that axis has the ability to spam more infantry than allies. Play with AMPM, you'll see what we are talking about.

One of the problems we are trying to deal with right now is that players try so hard to get their vet3 units that they hate losing them - they hate it a lot.

Changes to improve the situation could include making it so units don't fully die or making players care less about vet 3 units.  This is all up in the air.

As for Migi.  See ya later. Smiley  We'll always welcome you back.  Have fun with whatever else you do.

i have to admit that i agree with what skunker said, it was a lot more fun to play at the 1.5-1.6 versions.

but i cant put my finger on the reason why, BUT, this version is a sort of limbo, between no persistency and full war map goodness, so thats why its still in alpha, so we can iron out these things.

not trying to disrespect migi, but he was a bit skewed on his view of the game play at times.

I have lost multiple good units to migi's bombing/strafing runs ...

I think its a general mindset of this game in general .. NOT EIR, buT COH.

People always complain when they lose, or lose valuable units, always need something to whine about .. even if it is purely being outplayed and out thought.  migi had a hard time with the things that were stacked against him, even if he had tools that were just as devestating to use himself.

losing isnt all that bad,
its not like you have to knock on someones door saying his/her son was KIA or anything serious like that

i can compar the COH experince to my ninjitsu training, when it is done on you it hurts like hell, but when you do it to someone else you dont know how much it hurt unless they tell you.

this game is all about bluffing, to make your oppent think you have more of a chance than you really do.

(the psychologcal part anyway)

One of the problems we are trying to deal with right now is that players try so hard to get their vet3 units that they hate losing them - they hate it a lot.

Changes to improve the situation could include making it so units don't fully die or making players care less about vet 3 units.  This is all up in the air.

being someone who arguably has/had a large pool of flimsy units that are high vet (vet 3 m8, vet 3 m10, vet 3 mortar, vet 3 puma, vet 3 pak, vet 3 nebelwerfer, top armor in the game...  to name a few of the ones i have (had with armor) in the current version)  I will gladly admit that when i use these units I am MUCH MUCH more worried and paranoid about over extending  their use or even taking them far from the safety of the zone out.  Of course the puma and mortar are a bit different then say  a vet 3 nebelwerfer for they don't project as far ..

I find that until my units start hitting vet 3 I generally don't care if I lose them or not, tanks well I try to keep my vet 2 ones alive but they don't get any upgrades till they hit vet 3 darn it, they need to earn those skirts!

and I know its heart stopping when something I can't even slightly counter happens and wipes out all the hard work/time I spent babying those units up.  Ie demo charges, bombing runs, things like that.

of course it is also true that to fight the psychological war of EiR I target my offboard bombardments onto high consentration of vett'd units as much as possible!  because if you can knock them off their game and make them more worried about their units you will win that much faster.

its almost like having vet in the game is counterproductive to the fun factor.  to bad that the persistency has such a bad effect.. if it vet'd like units in Vcoh and never carried over people wouldn't care about em..
