Yeah and like I said they are epic fail at that job. Miss most of the time and when they do hit they have unfavorable penetration.

All they do is scare off pumas and scout cars.

Rangers raped in vcoh when they could hit the field before heavy armor, and could trolololol LVs and infantry. The only problem is, this isnt vcoh, this is EiR. There are 1001 ways to easily kill rangers, and rangers can do very little against many of them. Ofc everyone will say "hit armor with rear shots", but that isnt always an option vs compitent players. Rangers rarely do better then my bazooka riflemen, and because rifles are cheaper I generally prefer to throw zooks on them--if they die, its not a crushing loss.

Rangers are balanced for early game vCoH and their vet is supposed to allow them to scale.

We dont have that here, hence why rangers get chewed to pieces.

Didnt we already have a DPS thread where Stens and MP40s both out-DPS'd thompsons?

IMHO, SMG riflemen are much more cost effective. Especially vs any armor with doctrine buffs, which make rangers equally squishy as riflemen.

i feel that rangers could use a bigger health boost via doctrine choices, or maybe.... heroic crits, or something via a t3, there should be something that really makes them a little bit more viable, but nothing over the top.

so far the best way ive used them is with thompsons and first aid, and dual T3s, extra health, and being able to be revived makes them awesome. you just keep them far away from tanks so they dont get gibbed.

- zook pricing 60-65mun
- full package (zook+thomson) 110 mun
- T2 giving free nades
- T3 giving heroic criticals like KCH
- T3 giving health boost from 390HP to 470
- pop reduce to 5
- and last but not least pool value to 4-5

oh and maybe a T1/2 removing the exhaustion of fireup and the zooks should get better accuracy vs the pe vehicles to improve their role as light vehicle killers

great,so you would make em cost same as grens,you would get 4/5 thompsons for a price of single LMG42 or 2 scopped mp44,they would get free nades,would be 6 man squad with heroic criticals to avoid being pot shot by sniper,have tons of health. Thats a bit much isnt it? Or do you mean like just choose 1 or 2 options?

I think +10 HP, 100mu tommy, 140mu full package, 6 pop, and some t3 ranger buffs. MP is fine and 6pop seems legit for a tougher squad that can fire up

Why people are constantly wanting to make Zooks cheaper? Think of PE for crying outloud. Rangers that are not only cheap but also spammable with tommies and zooks rangers will just walk over PE.

srsly zooks on rangers are 35mun each that quite a lot and pe usually fields many light armored vehicles so you should be able to field 1-2 zooks for each vehicle to destroy them

thats 15-20 zooks to roflpwn the pesky PE so 500-700mun that is a shitload hell of munitions

and we have a hard time to destroy the pe panzer4s with our bazookas

don't say it is that easy!!!

and its only rangers they have just 63% more health than the fallschirmjager squads so 2 squads of fallshirmjagers with fg42 should be able to stop them

you guys need a big cup of learn 2 play when u not know how to steamroll rangers as PE

57mms and 6pdrs already do a hefty work of Panzer Elite stuff. Zooks defending the 57mms make it impossible to approach from any angle.

exactly! back in the day when armoured only had 1 zook per rifles, that fucked up pe

now im using rangers with 2 zooks and they're a bit better platform, its rape! allies is easy mode!

look at shockcoils company (good player) but he has no chance to win with his 100+ zook rifle squads and quad+m10 spam company
i think he lost every single game

the zooks miss so often the pe vehicles and don't get the 150-160% damage boni like against unskirted tanks (p4, panther, tiger etc.)

maybe they should add the 1.6dmg modifier against the marders and PE vehicles too
